Chapter 6 by Vairos Vairos

Prioritise Disarming Jesse and Jane

Surely the most sensible decision, Texas swung her revolver in the direction of the two porcine perps, adamant that taking out the ringleaders would take out the situation as a whole.

Bang! Bang!

Two bullets flew and two bullets struck home. Jesse and Jane squealed in surprise as their shotguns practically exploded out of their grip and hit the floor with an ungodly clatter.

Texas cocked a grin at the two outlaws and was ready to make a smug quip before something huge and built like a carriage swung against her head.

Stars exploded in her eyes and the sheriff fell back against the wall, her revolver sliding out of reaching distance with a disheartening clatter. Little cuckoo birds revolved in circles above her hat while she fought to regain her senses, even as the massive grizzly bear who had hip checked the sheriff made to do so again.

BLAM!

The entire bank shuddered with the impact as Texas’ face was caught between the solid, wooden wall and the gargantuan hips of one powerful-figured bandit. The grizzly bear raised her arms above her head and posed like a belly dancer before swinging her hips again, smashing them into the sheriff with the **** of a battering ram.

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM BLAM BLAM!

Whatever else Texas could say, she had to give it to the carpenters who had built this bank. It had been built to last and it seemed nothing short of a carriage full of dynamite could have ruined its structure.

The same of which could not have been said for Texas, it appeared. As the bear’s powerful body collided with the sheriff time and time again, it squashed the weasel in on herself. Her whole upper body was flattened, thin as paper until she looked like a trowel above her waistline. She couldn’t move a muscle, so squashed together as they were, and could only dart her eyes from crook to crook with a pained and **** expression on her face.

With the sheriff at their mercy, Texas couldn’t help but feel they looked like coyote’s left alone with a fresh kill.

But it was Jesse and Jane who called the shots around here, as they were quick to prove with an explosion from both of their weapons. They had scooped them up from the ground and were using them to push their accomplices out of the way before anyone could remember how easily they had been disarmed just a few moments prior.

“Very nicely done, Tabitha!” Jesse said with a powerful clap to the grizzly bear’s shoulder.

“I knew we hired you for a reason!” Jane said, slapping Tabitha’s back with enough **** to knock the bear forward a few steps.

“Now, howsabout you go make yourself useful and start gathering together the loot. We take it back to the hideout and split it amongst ourselves as equally as we promised.”

“As equally as we promised,” Jane agreed. “70 percent to us, 30 percent to the rest of you.”

Texas very much doubted that any of the crooks assembled in front of her knew what a percentage was, but she was in no condition to comment. In fact, she was in no condition to do anything at all, except cower as the two pigs turned their attention to the weasel and fixed her with two mean, dominating grins.

This was bad. Very bad, in fact. And Texas was about all out of options on anything that could save her.
