Princess

Liandra found purpose in life, and stepped up to act as she should. She started to attend as many of her father´s events as possibly, and always had a kind word to say. Her sensual journey of self discovery was interrupted, for she felt guilty about each second she didn't spend being the princess.

The days became weeks, and months. Luxius was plagued by supernatural perils, fire drakes, demon hordes, and Liandra could see people suffered. She decided to talk to her father about it.

"And while our knights did the best they can, still the threat grows larger by the day. Father... is there nothing else we can do? no alliance we can call?" She felt foolish talking to her father like that, for he always knew what was best. It was her mother that answered.

"We have already asked all of them, Liandra dear. But beyond that Nocternian ambassador months ago, none of the realms were inclined to help, lest they weaken their own borders" Her tone was solemn, and honest as only the royal family, and their most trusted attendees, could hear the words.

"Our only choice is Prince Mortimer. I hear he returns triumphant from his distant crusade, and brings many knights from his distant lands" Lianda sensed the tension between her parents, her mother was still unhappy about the arrangement. But if it was the only choice...

"Father... I am happy to obey your wishes" But the Queen wasn't so eager "I STILL cant believe you would so gladly sell your daughter for a handful of troops. She is your daughter! Not some prize mare!" It was a vicious argument, and Liandra was sorry she brought it up; she hated to see her parents fight.

But whose side to take? should she side with her father, and potentially help Luxius solve its internal problems, or should she side with her mother, and take an alternative path?
