Chapter 4 by ClutchWizard ClutchWizard

To whom does the wand appear?

Princess Peach

In the castle of the Mushroom Kingdom, the smell of baking sweets wafted from the kitchen. Princess Peach cheerily hummed a happy tune as she moved through the kitchen, mixing ingredients and checking the oven. Blonde and blue-eyed, Peach was known through her kingdom and beyond for both her beauty and her kindness. One of her favorite things to do was bake cakes, a joy she was indulging today.

She reached for one of her large spoons, and instead found herself holding a wooden wand. "Huh? How did that get here?" she wondered. In a playful mood, she gave it a few waves, pretending like she was directing her utensils to do all the hard work for her. She giggled to herself at her own silly behavior.

The scent of charred food suddenly met her nose. Quickly turning around, she saw wisps of smoke leaking out of the oven. Distracted with her discovery, she had forgotten to take one of the cake layers out of the oven.

"Oh no, how could I have forgotten!" she lamented, rushing to the oven. She opened its door, coughing as a billow of black soot collided with her face. "Now it's ruined. I wish I had remembered to take the cake out in time."

Unexpectedly, the wand still in her hand began to glow. Suddenly, there was no smoke. There was nothing in the oven at all. And Peach could smell the sweet scent of a freshly baked cake. She looked to her counter, and on it rested her cake, perfectly cooked, without a sign of burning.

"What?" she uttered in confusion. "Did I just..."

She looked down at her flour and batter-stained dress. "Uh, I wish my dress was perfectly clean?" Before her eyes, the mess on her clothing disappeared, leaving it pristine and perfectly pink.

Peach took a moment to realize what just happened, then smiled. The wand granted wishes? Well, she had some ideas as to what to do with it.

What is Peach's first wish?
