Chapter 9 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Conclude the day.

This was your first full day in the city. It's hard to take all of it in, but you pass a whole variety of charming fixtures. Smithies, tanners, many homes--it's a city filled with everything you'd expect to find in an RPG, along with more fantastical figures walking up and down the streets. You see more catfolk and bunnyfolk, humans aplenty, a couple dwarves, and you even stop some even tinier folk you image would be gnomes or something. In the distance, you swear you catch a glimpse of somebody with completely red skin. There's another small figure, though this one has the ears of a mouse, but it scurries by so quickly that you don't get a solid look. You have no idea how many types of people there are in this world, though you'd love to take photos of them all.

After dinner, you return to The Book Stop to find Yiiv hard at work. Lithvir has to actually pull her away by **** just to get her to take a break. You'd feel bad if it wasn't obvious it has nothing to do with making it for you. This girl is just an absolute work-a-holic, and to be fair, the invention is ground-breaking.

It's another night laying on the floor in a study room, but it's better than on the street. You're fortunate enough to be allies with somebody with enough power to flaunt, even if she's humble about it.

You pass the time playing with cards. You sit across the table from your elven companion while Yiiv is face-down on said table to your right.

"Yeah, so that's how you play Go Fish. We have slightly different cards, but it still works," you explain.

"I see. And does the loser remove an article of clothing?"

"No." Wait should I have said yes? "Wait why did you even ask that?!"

"Hmm. Then do you have any threes?"

"... Go Fish."

Drool puddles around Yiiv's snoring mouth as she remains motionless from working herself too hard yet again. But eventually, the evening becomes late enough that you decide to sleep for the night. It's harder to stay up late when you have basically nothing to do.

Night comes. You sleep. All things considered, it's not so bad of a sleep either.

What do you do?
