Travel plans

Over the next few days, you fall into a routine surprisingly easily. Despite a few worries, everything seems to be working out. It’s easy to forget about the troubles still plaguing you from the far borders. Trouble that, of course, would not forget you.

You sit down to talk with Anna, Lynn, and Yura. As the diminutive trio settles, you smile. “So, you three are next up. What do you think? Obviously, none of you are having twins, but still, you’re still happy with your decisions?”

All three smile, even Yura, who touches her belly and nods. Anna replies first. “If anything, I’m more excited, master! I can’t wait to greet our child.”

Lynn smiles. “I’ve never been happier, Josh. You’ve made my life so perfect, even with the scary parts.”

Yura nods. “I can see into the future, Josh. Of course I’m still happy. No one else could make me feel like this, just you, and…” She rubs her stomach again, that smile on her face still.

You smile back at them. “I figured as much. I want to talk to you three about my plan, because I can’t make Iris wait too long. I know Anna and Lynn are due within a few weeks, but Yura, you’re a little further out.”

All three nod, and you continue. “So, I want to deal with her situation before Yura gives birth. We have maybe a month between there where I can get it done. It shouldn’t take long, if what Iris tells me is right.”

Lynn looks at you with concern. “But isn’t it almost a two week trip each way?”

You smile. “I have a solution for that.”

You mold up a large green stone, encrusted with golden runes. “This is a travel stone. Apparently they are very rare and difficult to make. Normally it’s one-use, but with my powers, that sort of thing doesn’t really apply to me. There are limits to where it can go, but it’ll make the trip almost instant.”

Yura nods. “That would work. I can not tell what will happen when you arrive, though. The magic in the area is far to strong to scry through.”

You smile. “I’m bringing Uzume, Maya, Iris, and Samara. I think we’ll be ok.”

Anna nods. “With Uzume along, I won’t worry. Is Maya really leaving her babies here without her?”

You nod. “It’s only for a short time, and there’s plenty of help here. She says she’s tired of being left behind.”

Lynn giggles. “That does sound like her. Well, we all know how you are once your mind is made up about something, it’s better to just go along with it.”

You chuckle. “The good news is, it’s almost over. Once we deal with this, it’s just Marcus. And then we can all relax.”

Anna smiles. “I look forward to that, master.”

You nod. “Me too.”
