He completely misunderstood what uniform would be provided.

The venn diagram of K-T and common sense related to clothing was easily drawn as two circles rather far away from each other. He had immediately assumed that a swimsuit would be part of the uniform provided to him and it was a huge surprise when all he found in the bag was a LIFEGUARD printed t-shirt and a towel with the pools logo on it. The bag itself had instructions to put the contents in it after each shift and to put the bag back in his locker where he would find a fresh uniform every day.

The issue was that because of what he had thought K-T didn't bring a swimsuit with him and because of the rarity of his underwear pushing him not to wear any today he could even resort to wear them instead.

He considered going to see his new boss to tell her, but there was a sign near the exit of the locker room towards the pool indicating that for health reasons it was strictly prohibited to wear street clothes beyond this point.

K-T had been raised to always follow the rules by his mom. It was his first day at a job he had had a lot of trouble finding and he didn't want to look disrespectful by ignoring the pool's regulations.

The towel looked big enough to wrap around his waist and stay there if he didn't move too fast.

He stripped down, regretting already the absence of changing booths in this old school lockers thankfully deserted at this point. All of his clothes went into the locker and he closed it. He put on his t-shirt, lanyard, flip flops and wrapped the towel around himself.

Correction, the towel was actually just big enough to tie around his waist. Not only he would have to be extra careful about it not falling but also that the split on the side wouldn't reveal his nakedness when he walked.

Dressed as best as he could for the situation he exited the locker room and walked outside towards the main pool where he could see his boss and another girl wearing a lifeguard uniform ( over a single piece red swimsuit that she had obviously brought with her.).

He would just have to ask his boss to talk in private and he was pretty sure they might have a few spare swimsuits somewhere, either some that they sold or from the lost and found.
