Dream a familiar face.

Once again, you find yourself standing in an endless void. There is no light, yet you can see. The ground is solid despite there being nothing there. You'd be shocked if this hadn't happened before. There's a warping in space up ahead, and this time you await calmly for the feminine figure to appear--one like a silhouette filled with galaxies and nebulae. Her hair flows beautifully to the side--coloured as if made from vortexes of purple and blue star clusters. Two glowing white orbs stare from an otherwise featureless face.

"Hello again, Kyle Warren. It's been awhile. How've you been?" she asks, despite having no mouth to move. "Have you considered my proposition?"

"That trial, right?"

Her body fades away, though it looks more like a video glitching out. She reappears instantly right in front of you. "Correct. The Trial of the Erotrain," she says softly as she places a hand on your cheek. "I can tell you're getting stronger every adventure, so perhaps you're already prepared."

"Do I get to know what the trial even is?"

"It's more fun if you don't. More importantly, isn't the risk worth while? I have a lot of things that I can give."

"The main problem I'm facing is Elok Daven and his assistant Breiah. I know they're up to something. They put so much work into bringing me and William to this world, and after we refused to join forces with them... I don't know. There's no way they'd just give up. And then next thing I know, there's a new king on the throne, he hates me, and now I'm banished from the empire. Something's going on."

Once again, the woman fidgets away from view, though at the same time, you feel her behind you. She slides her hands over your shoulders, and presses her cheek up against your own. "You think it's all connected?"

"How much do you know exactly?"

"I admit that I don't have all the answers, but if you pass my trial, I guarantee that both Vexy and I will be on your side. Is that not important in a time like this? There are only so many people around dubbed Demon King. How often do you think they work together?"

"Rarely I'm guessing."

One last time, the woman disappears to then stand a distance away, though to your side. "I've already spoken Vexy. She did say that if you were able to clear the trial, she would no longer think of you as a weak-willed, sorry excuse for a Demon King."

"She thinks I'm what?" You turn to face her.

The girl giggles. "And that she'd work with you on figuring out more about Elok Daven. She's interested too, you know. Though I have to warn you. This trial will be the most difficult thing you've faced yet, and there's a very good chance you won't come close to succeeding."

You have no idea what this challenge is even meant to be, though if it means gaining such a powerful ally, it'll surely be worth it. "If I don't succeed, will I die?"

"The chances of that are low, but if you do fail, I doubt she'll ever give you another chance."

"Then fine. You said last time to contact Vex when I was ready, right?"

"Correct," she says as she holds a hand forward. "And then it begins. All aboard the Erotrain, Kyle Warren. Where will you get off?"

Then everything dissipates, and you're left once again in the darkness of sleep.
