Ruth is leaving, for now.

You arise from your sleep holding Tommie close to you, your both a little dirty now. So you grab the rag and wash you both off softly as not to wake Tommie but your general movement woke her before you got a chance to finish. It could also be the fact the water had gotten a little cold in the room. You look Tommie as she stretches her arms and yawns, you shrug as if to say sorry for waking her but she just wakes her head.

You have trouble telling what time it was if it was not for the watch on your arm, and you realize you had been asleep for at least 5 hours, you are a little shocked the others had not tried to wake you. You shrug and turn Tommie and point at your watch as if to say damn. Tommie looks down at her's as she gets dress and just nods her head in agreement.

As you are both finished dressing you finally say " I did not want to make much sound sorry, I figured it might alert the others to us being awake before either of us was ready."

Tommie just nods and says " Yeah, I know it does not hurt anything or mean much for them to see me naked but I do prefer it this way. It allows us the private time we had yet to honestly share you and I."

You nod, and open the door out into the living area. The first thing to surprise you was the fact the TV was on, the news reporter just repeating the same things over and over. But it was more then any of you had seen on a TV in a long time. You and Tommie come out and sit down, and Grace and Tracy And Ruth are just getting a bite to eat.

Grace says "We were just about to wake you two up to eat, we figured if you needed to sleep you needed to sleep and you get to take first watch tonight then."

You and Tommie nod, and Tracy says " The news lady just keeps saying the same things, much like the radio we are hoping she might say something else." With that she looks at the TV a second and says " I think I am going to switch it to the Security Camera's" She changes the channel to 00 or Aux or whatever is required and you see the camera feed.

You are little surprised to see the TV on and the Camera food, but Ruth decides now is the time to say it " We were going to busy are selves with setting it up, but turned out that this business in order to help make up for the impacted the mining of the metals they sell and other stuff already had solar panels on the roof and the whole shop is powered on solar energy during the day. It is possible they are on top of the wear house as well, It might also explain the toilet that works and a number of other things. We also added the night vision camera's to the roof so we can get a good view out front. I will be leaving shortly, I was hoping for bit of rain to help cover my movements. If we are lucky it might short shortly, you would think with everything else that is going on this news reporter would at least try to give us a weather report or the time."

You laugh and say " I think the end of the world and crazy power hungry **** and bandits and raiders are a bit more important to report or them movements of this or that or updating us on other stuff with a bit more hope then the weather for which we can see if we look outside pretty much."

Tracy looks at you a little funny and then says " Well, if it is sunny we clearly know it is sunny but in a case like tonight we need rain. So if they had seen fit to report it would have been one more piece of luck for us."

You take a bowl of food put before you and start to eat it, you look around and realize the room is a lot warmer then the one you had been sleeping in. So you ask " How did this room warm up so much?"

Tracy looks at you and says " We just told you this place has power, the wall heaters are electric. It means we can stay here as long as we can maintain control of it honestly. Chances are any place any other group is holding up in is running on a generator or something. Meaning they need a lot of oil or a lot of gas, good news is they will not focus on the abandon vehicles for a long time meaning they should not focus to much on us. Since if they can get a gas trick that has an empty tank and connect it to a gas stations tank and pump it out there is no way they will need the stuff in fuel tanks for a long time."

You think for a second and then say " We may want to get empty glass bottles at some point and make Molotov Cocktails they make a fair weapon and so on and having them ready could be of some great use when defending this place, since we just have the three of the ware house The fence around it and gate out front, And if we can get the Cocktails on the front area of the gate it should be enough to defend this location til we can get into the Hummer and leave. That and few of them Grenades on the roof they will not know what hit them. But this also means we need to set up camera's on the roof at all ends of the warehouse so we can watch the movements of people better around us without them knowing it."

Tracy points at the TV after taking a huge bite and says " These camera's they are on the corners around the warehouse. We only need to put up night vision ones on the roof on a different channel, for figure use. For now we just got the ones that over look the gate. Which is enough top let us know if we need to take up arms and get ready to protected are self." She switches channels and says " See, we can clearly see what is going on outside now." She watches the TV a second and says " It looks like it is starting to Mist out, this might at least drive people indoors but it will not cover up the sound of your footsteps."

You look at Ruth and Tracy funny and ask " Why would you two know all this if she is a Nurse and your a Student?"

Tracy and Ruth nod to one and other and then Ruth says " We guess we can tell you, all thou it is true that Uncle Frank is the main reason we are here. The Military, stopped us for a short while on are trip down here. They asked us some things and then said if we wanted lose we would have to take a bit of training for self protection reason's so they trained us on some of the finer points to fine tune the skills Frank had taught us. They realized we picked up quickly on things, we informed them about were we would go but did not tell them exactly. We told them that it was a huge civilian cash of weapons. We hoped that maybe the owner was still alive because he was related to us."

Tracy nods at this and says " they informed us because he is male, chances are if he was not dead we might have to kill him. But that is also why they told us to keep an eye out for anything useful, and when they say useful. They meant someone like you Alex. Anyway, They only gave us a two pistols and about enough shots to take out maybe 4 or 6 people if we got in a gun fight. So about four clips between both of us, they let us to are boat and we told them we would make contacted with the person down here."

Ruth nods and takes a bite out of the food in her bowl and says " And the report on the news, and the radio was commenting on us. We are the ones they need to make contacted with, but Grace already knew that. Some of the tips on rationing of food and all that were tips the military people gave us. When I realized just how lucky, Alex was to have found my brothers stuff. And then to find this place, and clearly not knowing what he had here. We lets just say, decided to temp fate and turned on the TV to find it worked. I figured if the sewage still worked here, maybe the power did too. Some people are crazy for the environment even if they work in industries that are not known for doing there best to keep the environment clean. And you know people from Cali, anything to help improve your business image."

You shake your head and say something like " Maybe that is why the company name is Clean Steel. and Iron. Or Green Steel and Iron, I thought it was kinda strange."

Grace laughs and says " Yeah lets just say, your luck holds out quite a bit longer Alex we might be able to live very well indeed." As she finishes her helping.

Tommie then says " So if you guys found all this well we were you know, why did you not come in and tell us so we would turn on the heater?"

Ruth smiles and says " I told them to leave you alone."

You then nod and say " Well, if we got first watch maybe we should get ready to do it so Grace and Tracy can get to sleep. As soon as they are tired."

Grace and Tracy Both turn to you and say " Not going to happen, Tommie has first watch I know there are suppose to be two of us but you can only take up the watch after you have satisfied the two of us Alex." You gulp hard as Ruth pats you on the back.

Ruth says to everyone gathered " I am leaving shortly" She kisses you on the cheek and hugs her daughter and then says " I will return as soon as I can I am going to walk in land through the abandon houses. Traveling as suggested closer to the ones that burnt out since no one should be using them for shelter. And when I get to a good spot I will start to leave the quotes. And other information, in fact the ID code I am suppose to leave is the ID code they gave us for the "on" Unit my daughter and I are. We are considered scouts more or less. It is just hard for them to move larger forces into groups of people who may or may not be hostile to them. By getting are number they know we found something or what we had gone here to get or check up on. So They will know mostly from the information you want to provide them Alex were we are."

You just nod as she grabs the goggles and her gun, and goes out the door. Tracy finishes her food up and goes into the room you and Tommie came out of. Grace is right behind her, you shrug and turn to Tommie to say something. But nothing comes out of your mouth.

Tommie sees this and says " Don't worry about it Alex I know the score I know what has to be done, so don't worry about me just have fun. I will watch the camera's and I will let you all know if there is a problem. Which I don't think there would be with how late it is, so get in there tiger."
