You Drift off.

Well you sleep, laying next to Tommie. Grace and Tracy are busy setting up the batteries for the TV and motion sensitive Camera's and so on. It is clear that Tracy has a pretty good understanding of general electrical, circuits as it takes her little time to set up the bank of batteries. As they finish setting them up.

Tracy says " The only problem is, we are going to go through a lot of batteries if we don't find an affective way to recharge them. I mean there is a lot of different ways to do it, but most would involve one of us burning way to much energy to do it. And there are a number of other tricks we could try but it could waste time."

Grace just shrugs and says " It's a good thing that the this office had eco-friendly bathrooms then right? I mean It uses a gravity feed system for rain water to fill up the towel bowl. And it uses the least amount of water to flush it as well. So if we only flush number too, we can help allow for no build up as a whole I mean that has got to be lucky on are part. And the feed off from the tank that holds the water for the towelette is what we drink which is to say, the water that fits in the large tank on the ground rather then the one on the roof. Meaning if we find some other way to get rid of are waste, that dues not use water we got that much more water to use. But for now it is a nice thing as a whole considering how bleak a lot of other things have been."

Tracy just smiles and nods and says " Yeah, I am sure proper sewage and other issues are making problems for all kinds of people right now. But what we need right now is some way to charge these batteries."

Grace shrugs and says " I have not taken a good look at the top of this shop of any of the other buildings you never know what is up there, or around us still."

Ruth turns to them and says " A Solar panel if only it was so convenient for us as so many other things have been would allow us to charge them, the more of them the better."

Grace looks at them and then thinks for a second and says " I thought they had street signs for road closure and other kinds of road equipment in one of the garages. It is one of the reason's that Alex thought this place was a construction company when it turns out that it was only used to transport steel and iron. According to the mail anyway."

Ruth smiles and says " most of them street signs have solar panels on them, and with how eco-friendly this shop has tried to be for day to day operations. It is quite possible since no one has looked at the roof that some of there day to day power came from it as well. I mean there might already be solar power systems at work. I mean I have not seen any power cords attaching to this building."

Grace shrugs and tries to turn on the TV to see if this might be true, it is slow mostly because it has been weeks since the TV has been turned on, but it lights up like a Christmas tree on Christmas. Grace turns to Ruth and asks " Why did we not think to try it? I mean we had figured maybe the power cords were underground or something we had not considered the other things I mean we have only been here a few days."

Ruth nods and says " You guys get luckier by the moment you know that, Power working sewage. A stocked storage room, so on. I guess that means these heaters around here work as well which means if we heat this place during the winter using the Sun to use the batteries already set up some were around here, then we will not be cold at night. And that might be why this place has the wall design it has. It was to allow for transfer of heat from one room to another easy. And to heat in the sunlight or day time, and so you get the idea."

Grace nods and Tracy asks " So if we have power, we can check the TV to see if there is any news broad-casts I mean someone might be using a gas generator or something to get a message out."

Grace flips this channel and that comes across a broad-cast from the Military, a pretty attractive woman who looks pretty clean considering what is going on outside in the world is reporting.

The woman says " All thou the power is out in most if not all area's of this country, and few people are expected to hear any message that we might send. This message is also sent on one of the radio bandwidths to allow for more people to hear it should they be able too. First we will report events as best as we know them at this time."

The woman then says " A power planet in the New York Area had a melt down because it was not foreseen that it should be shut down because no one with the skill or ability to maintain was able to get to it in time to prevent it from going critical. It has been suggested similar things can happen to power planets in all other area's thou it has also been suggest that some people have taken measure to prevent said events. Since we have no idea as a whole besides in the LA area for which we are broad casting to. The power plants are safe don't worry about it, all other people with in 100 miles of a power plant that uses nuclear processes to make power should get as far away as possible."

Tracy says well listening " Well, that is news to us it must have really made a problem in the New York area for them to bring it up here I mean it is so far away!"

The woman on the screen then says " Armored forces for the USA military mostly consist of females now since most of the males have gone crazy or had to be shot. It is regrettable but we are trying to study ways to turns thing back but we honestly feel that most of the current men effected are to far gone to turn back anyway. The decay or disease on there skin or over there body as a whole as gotten so bad in some cases that they are likely to die slowly anyway. Others will suffer scarring and still be crazy as the mad hatter. There are reports of pockets of safe populations in small rural communities but it has suggested that they will not let anyone pass on the highways or use there towns at this time. The only people able to pass are female military soldiers trying to help secure the world for the rest of us."

Ruth nods her head and says " This is also news to us, we had not heard of any untouched populations by the sickness but this must mean more people survived then originally estimated. Only problem is must urban area's had almost a 99 percent **** rate and most of that was related to the plague. Or the people affected by it."

Grace nods and says " I am going to flip a few channels and see if I can find anything else." After changing a few channels, she finds security camera feeds. Thou she does not remember seeing the camera's they are already in place. She is also sure they are not night vision but it is at least a start. She points at it and says " I guess we can use the bank of batteries to power a waffle iron or something. Or an electric grill if we find one? I mean we will not need them will we?"

Tracy says " We have no idea if we will, other groups may try to start trading resources at some point and having good batteries might be key battering items we may even want to bring in the batteries from the vehicles outside."

Grace then adds " It could also be the luck following Alex around you know? He found me and killed dead all the men who had planned to **** me, he found and hide Tommie with him til he heard the distressing sounds I was making. He found Franks house and realized it's possible worth. Sure some of the other houses had burned down but a lot of them still stand. So you get the idea, He then decided to return and search it some more. And found you two, standing there waiting for his return more or less. Based on the fact it must have been clear someone mostly would be, you two had acted as if you knew someone would return."

Ruth just nods and says " I figured that a tactical possibility to find healthy smart minded people would be to stay. If they had not managed to take everything the first time they would return. As long as we did not act hostile, we would be safe or safer more or less. I only wanted to make my daughter here safe and my actions later today is more over to that point. I just hope that goes as well as hoped and no one sees me."

Grace agrees and says " Here, we should snack a little well we await them to come out."

Ruth shakes her head and says " No need for a snack we should save the resources and only eat together, it prevents people from getting angry about the food issues later I am sure. And if we are going to snack we should eat more of the left offers from the food I made earlier."

Tracy and Grace nod and get a small plate and some of the flat bread and the three of them sit down to dob the flat bread into the food Tracy's mother had made. Ruth then says " See that is not so bad, And since it is already been one meal and we still get more food out of it. No one can get mad if nothing goes to waste."

Grace agrees and says " I will be sure to remember that, it will be helpful in the later days I am sure." She changes the TV from the camera split, to the news reports.

The woman on the screen then says " We would like to send a message to all the people that have been meet as we move forward to try and protected the people who need protection who are left, I would like to send a message from a bit more to the South in San Diego. She reports that she wishes well the travelers going to LA, she says she hopes you find you find what your looking for or even better yet you find what we are looking for. Be safe and remember, there are many ways to send red flags just figure them out. I am sure your capable."

Tracy laughs and says " I wonder how many times they have said that message sent we meet her, either way we can't be worried with it now but at least we know the military here now knows that people who have had contacted with other groups outside of here. Have been moving forward, and to expected contacted if possible at some point. This means the messages should be found at least."

Ruth is pleased things might work out for the better but she still is a little worried about the trip out to leave the messages she then says " Don't worry I will be fine, most people from what we have seen have not been out at night. They tend to find a place to stay. If I move between the burned out buildings this will help, if I manage to get 10 or 12 minutes from this location we will know I am at last a mile. If I managed to leave a message there and remember the street sign and then travel one more mile, and leave another one, and then turn and walk another mile and then work my back by numbers I have to make sure the first message is left on a numbered street, this way it is easier to track back to the first location. If I loop the direction I travel and so on it should make it easier to hid things. And if it looks like the messages point an Arrow away from us this is better for us as well."

Grace just shrugs she is not sure what to think and just adds " We should find you some Infrared Goggles in some of this stuff maybe, I mean there was many different kinds and models back we found. If we check them there might be just what you need. I mean the fact is, if you see the enemy long before they see you this includes in buildings or whatever you can get around them better and this will be able to keep you safe I mean to defend this place we got the IR camera we can hook up to the TV and god knows what else so I mean it is best you take it."

Ruth nods and goes back into the storage room and starts looking for it, Tracy seems pleased as a whole and pretty sure her mother will be alright. Tracy knows what her mother can do, and is willing to bet she will do whatever she can, she can't fail her or the rest of them.
