Running Into An Old Crush

John exited the alley where the shop had previously been located and took in the surroundings. Looking at the implanter he studied it not really watching where he was going. Suddenly he accidentally ran into the back of someone hitting the scan button by accident and tumbling down to the ground. John made sure the implanter was okay and then looked around to see what or who he hit.

“Ouch…like what the fuck man you need to watch where you are going.” It was a gorgeous woman who he had ran into that seemed so familiar. She was brushing herself off and looked pissed and then curious. “You…I know you Jerry right? No no it was Jeff oh I got it John Doe! We were in professor Nemoy’s class in high school you asked me out two or three times if I remember. How are you? Did you find a girl better suited for you? No offence, I mean my model carrier doesn’t let me have a boyfriend.”

John recovered from the shock in a moments notice. This was Rose Mcdona. Thee Rose Mcdona the prettiest most popular girl to ever go to Donavon High. She only looks like she got prettier to John, who didn’t hear a word she said other than his name. “H..hey Rose uhh sorry ‘bout that. I was a bit preoccupied. Could I uhh maybe buy you like a drink or something to make up for it?”

Rose face palmed and shook her head. “Listen John I really can’t be seen around guys too much. The fans and paparazzi would take notes and photos. I’d love to catch up but today really isn’t the day here...” She digs around for something in her expensive purse and then hands it to John. It was a card with her manager’s information on it. She then got up brushed herself off once more and turned around.

John looked down at the device and realised it showed his relationship to her. It simply said ‘Plain Acquaintance’ which meant they kinda knew each other but not really. John knew he wanted to change it but how far was he willing to go here in the real world?
