Two Down

Cupid seems to be breathing heavy from the poison as it charges towards Yulia, but it is indeed quite slow and Yulia manages to hit it in the... face? with an icicle which slows it further and gives her ample time to get out of the way. The creature's wings give off an intense heat and Yulia hesitates to get closer to attack it from behind. She hesitates too long and it's managed to turn back to her, ice coats part of it's head now as it lets out wheezing raspy breaths.

Yulia clenches her fist around the handle of the rapier as she breathes out and then moves toward the creature on her own, she's not sure trying to hit it from behind is viable so a frontal **** might be her only chance, even if it does mean putting herself in harms way. The creature roars as she approaches, but she manages to keep her composure and stabs the rapier into Cupid's chest, eliciting a pained groan from the creature and it grabs for her, she jumps back out of reach of it's mercifully stubby arms, or at least so she thought, the creatures long, disturbing fingers seem to stretch as the grasping hand moves past where she was, catching her and yanking her forward into it's grasp.

She yelps, but luckily her hands are still free and she takes this opportunity to make a **** strike towards its head. The rapier sinks easily into the soft flesh and it lets out a howl and drops her, it staggers back seemingly struggling to not fall over. It seems like Yulia won, until something strange happens.

A fiery halo appears over it's head and it's wounds immediately heal fully as it stands back up, Yulia takes a step back fearfully as she watches her nearly beaten foe recover fully and then it rushes her, she gasps in surprise as it moves much faster than before, it's bulky round body slamming into her and carrying her until she's slammed against the wall of the room. Pain spreads through her body and she slumps to the floor as it steps back and lets out a creepy sound almost like a laugh, but it sounds unnatural, like it's coming from a recording.

Yulia shakily gets back to her feet and Cupid seems to try and charge her again. Yulia makes a split second decision, it worked before after all and she fires another Icicle at it, this time aiming for it's stubby, misshapen legs. It hits and the creature trips as ice coats it's leg. It falls face down directly in front of her. The halo so close to her hits her with a wave of heat that makes her almost scream and back away, but she forces herself not to retreat and takes this opportunity to stab it in the head again with her rapier. It roars and starts to try and get up and she begins to desperately stab it over and over until it stops trying to get back up and collapses with a groan.

The halo vanishes as do it's wings and Yulia collapses to her knees, hoping she's won and it doesn't heal again. Mercifully it does not and it's body, like Sower's vanishes leaving behind some rewards. In this case another vial of sticky white fluid, a golden bow and pink quiver of four arrows and a golden halo.

Yulia grabs the rewards wincing slightly as her body still hurts from being slammed against the wall.

She won and despite the intense pain from the slam and the burns on her sword arm from stabbing him so close to the burning halo, she actually doesn't feel that terrible. She chalks it up to her increased physical endurance.

(Health: 125% (-50 from the slam, -25 from the scalding heat. She would indeed be in much worse shape if not for that health boost she got XD)
