Why can't he use his power on Becca

"Can you tell me why my power hasn't worked on my girlfriend, Becca?" Alex gets right to the point.

"Of course" Deleshia is silent for a moment. "It seems she has a block in place. Your powers can't work on her at all it would seem."

"A block? How would that be?" Alex says with a confused face.

"It was put there by Carl. He used his power on her on Thursday after noon. His thought was "Becca can't receive changes from anyone but me" Deleshia frowns.

"The rules state that you can't use it on the owners, how can he do that?" Alex starts to argue.

"It seems he found a loophole. It's not the power being used on you, It's the power being used on someone else, but it involves you." She clarifies.

"But why would he do that? He's my best friend." Alex sounds defeated.

"I do not know. I can not read minds unless it's used as a power." Deleshia frowns again.

Alex instantly flews into a rage. How could Carl do this? Why would he do this? Alex intends on finding out. "Thank Deleshia but now I have to go. I'll be back eventually." And with this, Alex run out the room and up to were Carl is sitting. "You bastard!" Alex screams at Carl. He grabs him by the shirt.

"Whoa man. What the fuck." Carl eyes go wide.

"How could you use your power on Becca!" Alex continues to scream.

"Whoa man, I haven't. Where is this coming from." Carl starts to panic.

Alex explains everything that just happened in the basement to Carl. Most of it through screaming.

"So let me get this straight. A woman who powers we have, told you this? She's clearing pitting us against each other. She wants us to take each other out so she gets her powers back." Carl defends himself.

That's when it hits him. What if Carl's right? Can he trust Deleshia?

[Author's note. This is were most people will hate the initial path I'm going to write. I will visit other paths at some point, but just be warned. Also I'm going to try and keep some chapters like this one short just so if someone wants to write something, they have more spots to jump in. I'll end up deleting this all when I start to write other paths.]
