Step Three: Flood

The Uld had heard his call, and they gathered close at his side, peering to the campfire from the shadows. Several Skjal scouts where scattered about, confused as the Oxen pushed the Ignix past them. Aetri spotted Lee on the other side, nodding as her emerald eyes looked with confirmation.

"Step 3?" Aetri whispered again, the Uld reader their weapons, pulled up masks and scarves, their bodies hidden by dark leather and black warpaint.

"Flood!" they growled lowly, and so it began.

Aetri was going to go first, but much to his shock, He watched on as a figure slid in, a flash of red and dark fur, rushing into a lone scout who sat by the fire. She wrapped her arm around his neck and crushed his windpipe, she'd brandished what seemed to be a winged spear, short but nibble and dash towards the others.

Aetri bolted in without a second thought, raising his sword and rushing to the woman aid in an instant. He did not see the Uld following him, nor Lee leading her silent charge on the opposite side, but the Uld flooded into the enemy camps just as planned. Falling in from the treeline, sprinting from the shadows, tackling with many at a time and overpowering the enemy, dirty tactics, exactly according to plan.

The Shadowed outsider flew in, blade raised, bolting past The Red Woman in a hurry to cut deep into the shoulder of a scout about to draw his bow. Aetri tore his steel away from the scout's flesh with a growl, turning to see the Red Woman shoving her spear expertly into the throat of another ill-prepared man, Their eyes met as she turned and the woman... Kara, looked past your shoulder with wide eyes "DUCK!" She yowled.

Aetri had just the mind to crouch rapidly as steel whizzed over his head, He peered back and arose to see a Skjal scout an arrow clutched in his hand, likely meant to be plunged deep into Aetri's back. Although this didn't change things "I thought you were a hunter?" He grumbled, gazing at the fine curved Nornish dagger that had embraced the inner thoughts of the poor fellow whose face it was buried in.

"Take that out of him," Kara spoke clearly, deeply, not a tone that Aetri had heard from her before. The Redhead, breathing heavily and with a deadly look in her eyes, commanded again "Take that out of him...." She caught herself, and clearly tried to sweeten before his eyes "...It's a gift, for you, I didn't get you anything for your birthday." She spoke sweet as dripping honey, Aetri was nearly as distracted as she wanted him to be.

Aetri lent forward and grasped the knife, the Uld where screaming from the shadows all around them, utilizing surprise and the dark to cut down the Skjal Scouts, hundreds of deaths in mere moments. A Flood of demise.

Pulling it free from the corpse, Aetri contemplated the lightly curved blade, how well it fit in his hand, how sharp it could cut. He had never seen any of these weapons before.

Kara approached him and grasped his arm, she looked as lean as usual, but her fingers had such strength in them. "I'm not letting you face this alone," She demanded.

Aetri's eyes narrowed.

"Oh suspect me later." She grumbled, hoisting up her spear and leaning down to snatch a round shield from a corpse on the ground. "Time for step four."

Aetri could only just peel his eyes from her, She had changed, and He was going to find out why.

Corpses littered the field, slashed throats and daggers in backs, it was the Uld that stood above them, they would fight in any way necessary, that is what would give them victory.

Aetri marched among them, the Uld gathered quickly at his side, wiping the blood from their axes, vengeance in their gate. Lee grunted, whipping the gore from her long blade and striding to Aetri, Black-Crow followed on the left, sheathing her Tanto and lifting her mask for a breath. "You going to be okay?" He found himself asking.

Black-Crow nodded palely "I am still standing, still walking."

"What is this girl doing here?" Lee growled at Kara, who slinked back reluctantly. Aetri held her back with a sobering glance.

"Enough bickering, We must focus." Crow spat subtly. "Step four."
