Take the tunnel to the left

The blue light and the strangely smooth tunnel are making your skin crawl. The machine sounds may be signs of life, but it could just be pumps or machines left by the gnomes. You motion to Glaw and the others and begin the journey down the hall towards the sound.

It surprises you how far away it turns out to be, but eventually you see the tunnel is blocked by a heavy wooden door. Fire or candlelight can be seen through the keyhole and beneath the foot of the door. Whatever is making that clanking and clattering sound is definitely on the other side.

You can hear a faint sound almost like a voice or someone singing to themself. You can also hear the sound of heavy footfalls moving against stone. The door does not seem to be locked.

You wonder if you should burst into the room with your weapons ready or should you announce yourself? If whatever is on the other side is hostile you may need the element of surprise. However, if it is not hostile you may startle them (or it) and **** a fight where one is not needed.
