Numbing Day

After discussing things, all three of you go to your rooms. There's nowhere else to go, and so you all find yourselves just sitting in your rooms alone, trying to forget everything. With that, she stands up and walks back to her room, slamming the door behind her. You look around, only to see that everyone is looking down. You try to bring everyone back from the brink of despair. "It's ok to ask. You were just worried about her. I know we're all just worried about that app right now." Everyone looks at you, and you see each of them nod before continuing to eat. Rebecca looks thankful. Even Olivia looks like she has a slight smile, knowing that the argument earlier was also justified.

After dinner, each of you hung out in the living room, trying to find something to talk about. The undercurrent of your new life was there, but in the moment of a joke, or a deep existential question, you could let it go. Still it was boring, your brain numb.

Around eight forty-five, each of you decided to go to your room. That is, except Olivia who found her door locked. She banged on it, but Erica refused to open the door. You all sit there in your rooms, waiting for whatever would come soon. Still, the banging didn't stop. Until once more you could hear the yelling. "Let me in, it's almost time, let me in!"
