Lucía Martínez, a high school science teacher

Mornings this year were always, thankfully, a slow start for Lucía. That’s probably not normal for a high school teacher, but she was lucky with her schedule this year. Being a senior level biology teacher meant she didn’t have a full schedule of classes, so her mornings consisted of an open office hour before school, an off period for first period, home room for attendance purposes, and then her first real class for 2nd period. Nobody had shown up for office hours (big surprise), so it was an easy morning.

Lucía was sitting at her desk near the front of her classroom browsing her phone during her off period, nursing her coffee. After scrolling through the usual social media sites, she noticed an app she’d never seen before. The app had a CG logo as the icon. Knowing it could be some sort of virus, she was hesitant to open it. However, she’d never heard of a virus that downloaded apps without user acknowledgment, and curiosity got the better of her. Lucía opened the app. After loading to a super detailed menu screen, a notification popped up over the menu.

Life-changing? It’s an app, and it also just looks like a game or something. These developers clearly had delusions of grandeur thinking a game could be life-changing. Still, Lucía found she was curious and selected ACCEPT.

The app took her through a few screens outlining the basic principles. She felt it was fairly straightforward: 10 free gems per day (gems seem to be the currency of this app), more gems can be earned through challenges and achievements, she could customize any woman except herself (why women? Seems like it could be sexist or just an app mad by horny men), each customization has different settings for the awareness of others, different options are available each calendar day, and only women 18+ are available for customization. Straightforward, but still weird. The bell for the end of first period sounds while she’s going through the information presented.

She is taken back to the main menu. She has 5 options: Hotkeys (greyed out), Custom Girls (greyed out), New Girl, Challenges, and Achievements. Standard opening menu for most games she’s played before. She selects New Girl, thinking she will be starting a new game. A list of names displays on her screen, with a label at the top which says “Sort by: Distance”.

Some students start filtering into her room. She has a senior level homeroom class, and they are used to her standard schedule by now. She knows seniors are allowed off periods and some of her students have first period off. As long as they are inside her classroom by the end of homeroom, she will mark them as present for the day. She generally lets students socialize or do homework or anything else as long as it doesn’t break any rules or disrupt others.

The top name on the list is one she instantly recognizes, which throws her off. Lindsey Harmon, one of her students in homeroom. What are the chances the app would choose a character name that is the same as one of her students? Lucía looks up and notices Lindsey standing at her desk a few feet away from Lucía’s teacher desk talking to her best friend, Carly. Lucía looks at the list again, and right below Lindsey’s name is Carly Lucas. Twice is too much of a coincidence.

Wow, that definitely described Lindsey physically, but Lucía had know way to confirm the other stuff. She selected the “Add Girl” option and was taken back to the main menu. The menu had changed the Custom Girls option to be available now, so Lucía selected this. The app displayed her current count of girls (1) and a space for the list of names. Lindsey’s name was the only one present in her list of Custom Girls. Selecting Lindsey’s name displayed the same information as earlier with two new sections.

At the bottom of her profile was a button for Available Customizations. The warning bell went off as Lucía clicked the button, indicating students had 2 minutes to get to their homerooms. Another menu displayed with 5 tabs at the top reading Speech, Body, Mind, Motor, and Misc. Quickly looking through each tab, it looked like different options were available for each category. Still not sure on what this app actually did but running wild with curiosity, Lucía started going down the Speech category.

There were so many of options available, each showing he associated cost! The options ranged from cheap like “Bark (1 gem)”, “Manners (1 gem)”, and “Accent: French (2 gems)” all the way to super expensive like “No private thoughts (125 gems)”. Wow! Lucía looked at the top of the screen and saw her current Gem balance of the 10/100. It looks like her current max is 100, so there must be a way to increase her maximum if she is ever going to be able to afford those really expensive options. But these options were ridiculous, it almost seemed like she could make Lindsey say/do these things, but that was absurd.

She sorted by price and decided to see what happened when she selected one. She went with “Moan (1 gem)” and added it to her cart. Before she could purchase everything in her cart, the bell went off, signaling the start of homeroom. The class would last 30 minutes before students moved on to 2nd period. She put her phone down for a minute and took attendance. Her usual students were here, with two students not here yet because they had 1st period off. She told them to behave as usual and sat back at her desk.

She pulled up the cart and selected Purchase. She noticed her gem balance drop to 9/100, and she was taken back to Lindsey’s profile. She found her purchase under the Hotkeys portion of Lindsey’s profile.

She wasn’t 100% what the toggles for aware were yet, but she remembered the Hotkeys option under the main menu. She went back to the main menu and, sure enough, Hotkeys was now available. She selected it and was presented with a screen with Lindsey’s name and a button labeled Moan. She clicked the button, ready to see what actually happened. Surprisingly, she hear a soft feminine moan come from her classroom!

She looked around and nobody seemed to react, so Lucía wasn’t sure if it was just in her head. To be sure, she watched Lindsey as she clicked Moan again. Lindsey gave a low moan while talking to Carly, with neither girl even noticing! Lucía clicked it several more times and heard a few different moans come from Lindsey!

This was too good to be true!
