The morning after

You wake in the morning, still holding Lylah in your arms. Something makes you look away from the beautiful wolf girl, however. Turning your head, you start in surprise when you see a grinning Naia sitting on the end of the bed.

She giggles. “Looks like the date went well!”

Lylah stirs in your arms, grumbling. “Naia let herself in, didn’t she…”

You chuckle. “Got it in one. I take it this isn’t the first time?”

Opening her orange eyes, she smiles. “You get used to it. I don’t mind, she’s a good alarm.”

Naia pouts. “Don’t talk about me like I’m not here! I wanna know how it was!”

From the other room you hear Aisha’s voice. “Sis, let them wake up. You know they had a big evening!”

You can hear the amusement in the older raptor girl’s voice. With a frustrated huff, Naia hops off the bed, winking at you as she leaves. When the door closes, Lylah grins. “You know I’m going to have to describe what we did in great detail.”

You smile. “Of course. I knew what I was getting into here. Now, let’s get cleaned up so Naia doesn’t melt down from having to wait.”

Lylah chuckles, and climbs out of bed, stretching. You watch for a moment, admiring her body, and she turns and sees you staring. She blushes slightly, smiling at you. “Enjoying the show, Greg?”

You laugh, getting out of bed yourself. “Of course I am!”

You both smile, and she takes your hand and leads you to her attached bathroom, which amazes you by the fact that there’s a shower! Seeing your surprise, Lylah laughs. “Living fairly close to the dwarves has advantages. A dwarven tinkerer lived in town a while, and set up plumbing in most of the houses. It’s fed by an underground hot spring, so it’s a bit warm, but better than hauling water for a bath every morning!”

You nod in agreement. “That bodes well for life among the dwarves, at least there will be showers!”

Lylah laughs. “It’s the little things, for sure.”

The two of you shower together, somehow managing not to get dirty again in the process. Afterwards, she wraps herself in a robe as you dress. “I hope you don’t mind if I laze around a bit today. You wore me out, Greg!”

You smile. “Not at all. I’ll take that as a compliment.”

She winks at you as you walk together into the living room. Naia is waiting on the couch, clearly impatient, and her sister sits in a nearby chair, reading. You sit down on the couch beside the energetic redhead, and Lylah settles beside you, running a brush through her damp hair.

Naia looks over at the smiling wolf girl. “Ok, spill it! I wanna know everything!”

Aisha chuckles, but she sets her book down, clearly interested as well. Lylah laughs, and begins to talk. You listen, interjecting only rarely, and the sisters listen intently, especially when the story reaches the bedroom. Both raptor girls look at you with approval as Lylah explains what you did for her, and you can’t help but blush a little at the detail she goes into.

Once the story is finished, Naia bounces excitedly on the couch. “So…are you coming with us?!”

Lylah smiles, and simply nods. Naia squeals with excitement and happiness, gathering all three of you in a hug. Aisha joins the group hug, a big smile on her face. Once you separate, Aisha speaks up. “I imagine we can get moving soon, it’s not that far to the border. I imagine the dwarves received some notice that someone was coming, most times that’s how it works, I understand.”

You nod. “We’ll take a couple days to prepare, and then we’ll go.”

Lylah laughs. “This is exciting! I’ve never traveled much, and now I have a mate!”

You smile, kissing her cheek, and she looks at you, her orange eyes full of happiness. She grins at you.
