Kasumi tells Izuku and Ren the truth

“What do you mean a suit like mine?” Izuku asked, looking to Ren in alarm.

“As in one that is advanced like yours, she thinks she can enhance it to give her the strength of All Might, and he just as hard yours.” Kasumi explained, speaking to Izuku.

“That’s impossible.” Ren exclaimed in shock, “only Mei and Melissa could make that. No one else could possibly hope to understand their technology.”

She knew that without Nezu’s quirk it should be impossible to even comprehend any of Mei and Melissa’s technology, never mind replicate it.

“Chi was able to use her quirk to learn everything, she was able to link her minds together and share in their knowledge. She can pick up any skill or knowledge this way.” Kasumi explained, as Izuku undid her restraints.

“She-she couldn’t do that before. She could only link minds to share memories, thoughts and experiences, not skills or knowledge.” Ren said, her eyes wide with fear. She had feared that Chi would tell the truth to Izuku, but now she might kill him.

“She learned how to do that after you left Ren, it’s why she’s such a good fighter.” Kasumi explained, to the other two’s fear.

“Where is she?” Izuku asked, “and where are Mei and Melissa?”

“They’re both in the same place, it’s the Saozu building.” Kasumi explained, causing Ren’s eyes to light up.

“I know where it is darling, if we hurry-“

“Ren I don’t want you to come with me on this mission.” Izuku said, causing Ren to freeze and dread to fill her heart.

“What?”

“Chi sounds dangerous, and with her power-“

“I’m powerful too, you’ve seen it.”

“But you’re not a hero, you’re not trained to take on these villains.”

“But-“ but what? It was essential that Izuku not find out the truth. He must never know, his heroic heart couldn’t take it. He wouldn’t understand, he was too humble. How could she stop him from finding out if she wasn’t there?

“Ren please.” Izuku begged her, his perfect face warped in desperation. Her heart burst and ignored her head, she couldn’t deny him.

“Okay beloved.” She said, defeated.

“Thank you.” Izuku replied, as he left the building to rescue Mei and Melissa as Ren just stood there. Still as a statue, watching everything her beloved had built come crashing down.
