Smuggled in a cart.

On the old dirt path leading to Kakiriko Village, a horse drawn cart steadily made its way to the village. It's driver was an old friend of Purah who owed her quite a few favors. So when the eccentric scientist had asked him to drive this cart to her sisters house and just leave it there, he asked no questions. As he rode his horse pulling the tarp covered cart, he did wonder what he was hauling. Was it a gift for her sister or just some junk she was unloading on Impa? Either way it wasn't his business. Little did he know that under that tent shaped tarp sat the princess of the old kingdom of Hyrule and her knight champion who were both reeling from the effects of their shared nakedness curse.

The pair sat back to back with their legs curled us so they could cover their bodies. They had spent most of this trip in silence to embarrassed to talk to each other. The only time either of them spoke was when the cart went over a bump and they involuntarily bumped their backs together causing them both to yelp.

After several hours of this awkwardness someone finally spoke up.

"L-link," Zelda said. Her face appearing increasingly redder every minute.

"Eeeeh," Link said looking around to make sure Zelda wasn't in some kind of trouble.

"No no it's fine Link. I'm not in danger," Zelda assured him. "I just wanted to see how you are doing."

Zelda turned around slightly to look at Link or more accurately the back of his head. He stayed quiet for a second before replying to Zelda's question with a big thumbs up. This made Zelda giggle and Link grinned in satisfaction. The pair suddenly felt more comfortable with the situation.

"Link," Zelda said in a bashful voice.

"Hmmm?" Link replied.

"I know this isn't really a fantastic situation but..." Zelda paused for a minute words evading her. "If I had to be here with someone, then I'm glad it's you."

"Ha ha," Link replied in a pleased tone. He looked over his shoulder to look at Zelda and was surprised to see her doing the same. Their faces were less then an inch apart. Link and Zelda quietly stared at each other. They stared into each other's eyes. Each other's noses. Each other's lips.

Suddenly a great neigh came from the horse and startling the two Hyrulians. Then the cart started speeding up at a rapid rate. The commotion started by this acceleration caused the cart to shake uncontrollably. Unable to keep balance Zelda fell to the floor and rolling around at the will of the carts momentum.

"Ahh Whoa Wah," Zelda shrieked as she wasabout to slam into the side of the cart.

Fortunately Link quickly jumped into action. He got down on all fours and grabbed Zelda's wrists before he braced himself to keep them both anchored in one spot.

"Oh um. Th-th-thank you Link," Zelda said. Link was right on top of her! She felt her face go hotter then ever been before. At least she was facing down. Zelda was pretty sure she'd die if she had to face Link while he was holding her down like this.

"Hmmm," Link calmly grunted back at Zelda. He held no embarrassment in his voice because right now Link was currently in hero mode. All he cared about was protecting Zelda, everything else was secondary. The dedication Link had to protecting her made Zelda's heart skip a beat.

"Faster girl faster," The rider yelled outside the cart, "we've got to get outta here."

The pair in the cart had no idea what was going on. Something had caused the driver to speed up out of fear. But what was it? Suddenly a loud snapping sound rang out. It was the rope connecting the panicked horse to the cart. With it gone the cart started to slow. Finally grinded to a stop as the horse and it's rider sped away. Link and Zelda stayed silent for a second unsure what had happened or more precisely was happening?
