Two things happened right before Netu's eyes. Her brain, addled by the sudden swelling of her uterus, was seemingly uneffected in its cognitive capabilities. So when the Gnome came sneaking by, heading toward the door, she stood out like a sore thumb.

Then, as though conjured by one of Mita's spells, of which she apparently had many, a chest with her name on it appeared in the center of the room in a blast of bright golden light. Her vision was stunned for only a moment, and then the chest and the Gnome were both back in focus.

But at least the monster was still gone...
