Brant Reid

My name is Brant Reid I chose to be a firefighter because I want to save lives and rescue possible victims from fire and smoke-filled house. I am proud to be part of a family with an occupations that protect and save lives a tradition that goes back several generations. My father (detective), mother (paramedic), my grandfather (army), and my great-grandfather (marine). I practically grew up playing with toy fire trucks for as long as I can remember. After graduating from high school I become a volunteer firefighter in our community. Eighteen months later I was sent to the nearest Fire Academy to complete the required Firefighter 1 training for 100 hours. A year later the fire department receive a report of a big fire in the neighborhood and I during the fire and rescue operation got badly hurt and in critical condition.
