Helen pushed towards the Clothing & Accessories area as Alexa followed behind. She hoped Helen would go to the Women’s section, but alas she turned at the Girls’ section. “Okay, so we should get you some new underwear,” Helen said. “How about these over here. Oh look, Alexa these are a pack of 10 for just $15. And they’re so cute too.”

Alexa paled as her mom held up a package of Disney princess themed underwear. “Mom!” Alexa hissed, face burning red. “You can’t be serious.”

“What? What’s wrong? They’re cute,” Helen said.

“I can’t wear Disney princess undies. I’m not 12,” Alexa said.

“Oh come now, we can also get you some other packs too like these ones,” Helen said holding up a pack of Hello Kitty underwear.

“Mom!” Alexa whined. “Please no. If anyone saw…”

“The point of underwear is no one sees it,” Helen said with a soft smile. “Besides they’re really cute. Here let’s go get a second opinion. Excuse me! A little help here!”

“Mom, no!” Alexa cried as Helen called out for an employee.
