Fight!

"Duck!" screamed Marie, and the Doctor dove for cover right as the creature got close enough. Marie, wielding her beam sword like a baseball bat, immediately swung and felt the creature push against it for a fraction of a second. The smell of burnt flesh filled the corridor, and its body dropped to the ground immediately. Marie made sure to keep away from it, where she could see some round eggs falling out of its mangled corpse. Once the adrenaline of quick combat wore off, Marie could see that the Doctor had wasted no time, and had already fled the corridor.

Marie cursed as she watched the previous door close behind the doctor, as Marie was hoping for some company while moving through this section. Taking a deep breath and fixing herself, Marie took one more look at the now dead creature that lay on the ground near her and shuddered. Such a nasty creature and it literally grew from some type of virus. What kind of sickness could create such things?

Looking where the doctor had headed, and consequently, where Marie had just left, and then looking where the doctor had come from, Marie had to make a decision. Does she chase after the doctor, or continue on?
