Chris looked crestfallen. Shoulders sagging, his voice adopted a subtle whine, “But it doesn’t feel as good.” Then, sighing, he straightened up. “Fine,” he said, shuffling away and moving back into the hall. Watching him leave, Morgan was caught by two feelings.
