“Seedot, Bullet Seed!” You yelled immediately. The seed Pokemon planted its feet before opening fire on the Water-Type which immediately fell to its knees. You smiled when you saw Blue’s face turn pale.

“Squirtle! Pound!” He desperately yelled. Squirtle began to run at Seedot and you waited. Squirtle got closer and closer and you waited.

As soon as Squirtle was a few feet away from Seedot you shouted your order. “Vine whip!”. A vine emerged from Seedot’s back and struck Squirtle, sending it flying to the edge of the ring. You grinned widely as you dusted off your hands.

Blue returned Squirtle to his Pokeball, a scowl covering his face. “I’ll get you for this…” He hissed through his teeth.

As he walked off you returned Seedot to his Pokeball and immediately messaged Emilia with the good news.

Suddenly, the beat changed and a pink light filled the warehouse. You, and everyone else in the room, looked to the source of the light. A guy in sunglasses stepped out, microphone in hand. “And now!” He started over-dramatically. “Tonight's special guests…. Please welcome Jhoto region Gym leaders, Clair and Whitney!” He yelled, building up his voice like a boxing announcer starting off a fight.

The two women strutted out before the crowd. Clair walked out like a model, her long toned legs clearly on show, the dress she wore could easily be confused for a tube top. You mentally facepalmed at the fact that someone had already decided to try and take on one of the Gym leaders. Guess you’d have to wait to talk to them.

The battle ended quickly with the guy’s Caterpie being obliterated by Clair’s Dragonair. She really didn’t pull any punches.

Not too long after someone challenged Whitney and it went the same way, quickly the number of challengers died down once everyone realised that they weren’t going to beat either of the Jhoto leaders. The rave became a rave once more and you had your chance to speak to one of them!
