Time travel

At first nothing around you has changed, but then you see your mom come into the living room.

"You came back?" You ask.

She squints at you, "What do you mean, I never left."

"Oh, right," you say. The necklace is still glowing. "By the way, what do you think of my necklace?

Your mom looks you up and down, "What necklace?"

"The one around my neck!" you say.

"There's no necklace around your neck," she says. "Honey, maybe you forgot to put it on. It's okay."

I wish my mom's shoes were on backwards.

Hailey comes downstairs and your mom stumbles as she starts to walk.

"That's funny," she says. "I could've sworn I had them on right."

Huh. So nobody can see my necklace, and they can't hear my wishes, you think. That means nobody will know I'm making them.

Smirking, you start thinking up ideas for what you could do with this power. At this point you don't even have to go to class, because you could just have the professor cancel it, or make everyone think you were there.
