Chapter 32 by fantaghiro
What's next?
George Hanson, the handsome science teacher.
George Hanson stepped into the room. He was tall, traditionally good looking, and in his early thirties. A lot of the girls in your class had crushes on him, nicknaming him "Mr. Handsome". You and Randall had always disapproved of the nickname, but honestly, you were just jealous that he got so much attention. You disliked being interrupted, but you knew it couldn't be helped. Randall slipped quickly back into "Miss Card mode".
"Something I can help you with, Mr. Hanson?" asked Randall in Miss Card's slippery sweet tone.
"Do you have a moment Miss Card? There are a couple of things I'd like to discuss..." he said. He looked at you quizzically. It dawned on you. He's wondering why I'm here, you thought. Not wanting to arouse any suspicions, you turned back to Randall.
"Thanks for the extra help, Miss Card," you said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. "I guess I'll see you in class tomorrow?"
"Alright, Tim. Have a good day," she said, not missing a bit. You were out of the room before you could discern any of the conversation. With about half of the period left, you decided to head over to the gym and see if you couldn't catch the last bit of class. After arriving and changing, you made your way over the Coach Mullins and handed him Randall's note. He didn't seem to pleased that you'd missed his lecture on safety, but he waved you off without any reprimand.
Looking around, you noticed that everyone had paired off, leaving you the odd man out. You picked a machine and started your workout, trying to cram something in while you still could. Your mind wandered. You and Randall were originally going to take this class together, trying to get ripped for senior year. The idea was to try and improve your sex appeal with Allison so you wouldn't graduate a virgin and getting Randall in shape might have actually turned his luck with the ladies. As it stood now, you'd already managed to lose your virginity, Allison still hadn't made her move, and according to her phone, Randall was having all kinds of luck with women.
You switched machines. You realized you were going to have to start doing something different. All of the time you've spent with Allison hadn't left you a lot of time for other friends. Randall had been the only one to really stick closely. Now with him having to play teacher, you didn't really have anyone to hang out with in class. A few minutes later, the bell rang. Though it wasn't much of a workout, you were glad that today was over. It was a relief that Randall was still Randall, but the circumstances were still trying. You actually found yourself feeling a little annoyed with Mr. Hanson for interrupting.
After showering, you started walking toward the parking lot. You looked around for Allison and couldn't seem to find her. Figuring you would just have to catch up with her later, you moved on. Sitting on the trunk, you waited for David and Tabitha so you could finally head home. Your phone buzzed. You had a text from an unknown number.
Unknown: Hey Timmy boy. Its me. Sorry things got cut short. We didn't even get to talk about what you've been up to.
You: It's cool. I wouldn't have had much to say. Mostly just Allison stuff.
Randall: Did you guys finally do the deed?
You: ...NO. Seemed like she was going to, but its basically back to the way it was before.
Randall: Bummer.
You: What are you doing now? When are we going to kick it?
Randall: I'm just prepping right now. School days are pretty packed. I am doing a one hour after school study hall everyday starting tomorrow. We can hang out in there if you want. It'll keep me from dying of boredom. I was really thinking we could do something big this weekend. Make the apartment a little more Randall friendly maybe. lol
You: Sounds good, dude. Catch you then.
Right on time, David and Tabitha strolled up. Those two recounted the events of the first day. You said something occasionally, but you were barely listening. A more serious topic was at hand. How are you going to deal with your mom not telling you about Randall's calls?

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
