Dinner with Kallista

Authors note: Short chapter this time, but I made the changes needed to have custom MC names!

Dinner is pleasant, with Elys recovering enough to return to her old self. Kallista is welcoming and warms to you and your family quickly. “So, Josh, how does it feel to be the center of attention for the whole world?”

You chuckle. “It’s a little bit strange, but I guess it’s what I signed up for. Once I developed my powers, I realized that I could make things better here. I’m a little bit surprised by how fast word of me has spread, though.”

Maya giggles. “My Josh is famous now! And a hero!”

Kallista laughs. “I love your energy, Maya. I can see why Elly loves you so much. And you as well, Josh. You’re both good people. Thank you for being there for her, and bringing her back. I’m sorry to take her from you for a while.”

You smile. “She should spend time reuniting with you. We need to move on, the more allies we have the less risk of everything falling apart. Elys can help by winning over your people.”

Elys chimes in. “I want to help, but I misss my mother...I will rejoin you when you come back from Ellon.”

You nod. “That makes sense. The round trip plus any trouble we run into shouldn’t take more than a month. That’s not an unbearable separation. We will miss you though, Elys.”

Elys smiles. “I’ll misss you too. All of you. You girlsss take care of Josh, don’t let him do anything too ssstupid!”

Everyone laughs, and you roll your eyes. “Yeah yeah. Ok girls, we set out in the morning, and I think we should visit Daigo while we’re in Ellon.”

Maya brightens. “Yay, daddy wants to visit daddy! Double daddy!”
