Spit for Spit
You'd managed to have a dreamless sleep, a peaceful one, with Bonnie by your side, no shadow or sea disrupted the serenity.
despite this, however, you did not remain in comfort for long.
As per usual it seemed your body abjected to remaining slumbered during the night and you had risen before the morning sun.
Bonnies apartment was modest and kinda cute, one-bedroom, and living room with a kitchenette attached, all neatly arranged and colour coded in soft white and gentle blues.
Snooping around a little, You'd noticed a theme of minimalism, although she had plenty of pictures of friends pinned on a board by the window of the middle floor... although none of family... or at least none that You would suspect to be family.
Bonnie frequently seemed out of place in these pictures, a crazy brunette with a wide smile while the others seemed mostly sombre. Now that You'd thought about it, none other of the school's faculty seemed to even acknowledge her, remaining solitary in her nurse's office, she mustn't have had many friends.
Smiling to yourself, You'd moved over to her small fridge, finding its contents something to be desired, but You found just enough to whip something up.
The Pan sizzled and beautiful smells arose until the sun did in that small kitchenette, the Orange light bathing the inside of the small apartment, and when it did You felt like a colossus, the flames inside soothing delightfully in response to what you believed was its master peering from betwixt the clouds.
Sounds tickled your ears, somebody shifting out of bed, sniffing at the air... then running to the bathroom quietly... You grinned. A shame, You'd planned to give her breakfast in bed. Still, as she eventually stepped through, the sound of her bare feet brushing across the soft carpet rung in your ears... they were getting more sensitive.
"H-Hi?" It was more a question than a greeting, the Brunette watching you carefully place the finishing touches on the plate.
"Good morning." You said warmly.
She checked her watch "Yeah... very early morning, it's like quarter to six, did you even sleep?"
Your golden eyes rested on her, she'd put a little lipstick on, washed her face, combed her silky brown hair, You could smell her fluoride toothpaste. "Let's just say I'm a bit of a night owl these days... I meant to bring this to you in bed."
Her face seemed to redden at your calm grin, and sunken in her lips as to contain a smile "I don't like to eat where I sleep anyway, and it smells really good."
Your elegant fingers picked up the plate spinning it around on your finger as You grabbed the small glass full of orange liquid in the other, walking over to the small table by the window and placing it there for her with some cutlery "Now don't judge me, I'm not much of a chef, just some scrambled tofu, sauteed veggies, tomato salsa I whipped up all wrapped in a warm tortilla, and of course some orange juice... I noticed you don't drink coffee, and that you're probably vegan by the lack of any animal products."
Bonnie folded her arms, and narrowed her eyes "What are you playing at?" She asked suspiciously.
Holding her gaze with your smile, You shrugged "I don't know what You're talking about."
She didn't seem so convinced "Nobody actually makes their partner breakfast, with their food preferences, after...
...
So you're either a fucking serial killer or the impossible: actually a nice guy."
You raised an eyebrow "Just eat it, you lunatic." You shot back.
Bonnie seemed to have decided that You were the latter -- kind of. She sat and ate as you sat with her, watching as she sighed with relief at each little article of the morning meal she'd devoured, washing it down with the orange juice which she wiped from her red lips "This is really fucking good." She mumbled through a full mouth.
"Do you always swear so much?" You asked with a chuckle.
"Oh shut up, cheeky bastard. Not much of a cook he says, after making me the best breakfast I've ever had."
"Ms Elisa, one of the maid staff back at home, used to try and bulk me up with as much healthy food as she could..." You put on a light Hispanic tone "Oooh, chico you have to eat healthier to put muscles on your tiny bones..."
Bonnie stifled a chuckle, but was hypervigilant as ever "What about your mam? or your da? didn't they ever cook for you?"
You shook your head calmly "Pft my dad couldn't cook a cookie without rendering the entire manor in flames."
She smiled... shortly "And... Your Mam?"
"Long dead." You said somberly.
She frowned, and dropped her fork looking upset with herself "I'm sorry."
"No, it's alright. It was a long time ago. What about you're parents?" You asked if you dared.
"Never knew them, I was raised in care." She said rather nonchalantly "Not that it was bad or anything, I quite liked it. Still, I didn't really have any mates, I guess it's why we get along."
You shrugged "Friends are overrated anyway."
The Brunette chuckled as she finished her food, leaning back and observing you curtly "Look, I think we're... good together, but I'm not one of your gals that You can sweet-talk into going with you alright, I know what Your like and I know your reputation, how do I know that if I actually trust in you being a good guy and open up a little that it isn't going to blow up in my face?"
What kinds of people had she encountered to make her this distrusting? was every day a night in the alley for her? if so... You'd change that. And so you decided to tell some of the truth.
"I'm not a Human being, Bonnie, at least not fully. Folks like me tend to be very dangerous, not just because of who we are, but because of what we do. Now I can make you breakfast and smile at you all day, but that isn't going to change the fact that I am not a nice guy." Your smile became insidious, it disarmed her "I'm a killer, Bonnie. Protecting people is a part of my creed, but that doesn't mean that I'm a good person, I do sleep around, I'm greedy and single-minded, and I can't guarantee that You'd be safe in my company. But I can promise that if you do decide to take that leap with me, that we can have some real fun, and do some real good... You were right last night. I need someone like you on my side." You shot spittle at your palm and reached out, tempting her to grasp it "What do you say? how about a little a walk on the Darkside?"
She considered your words, and considered your outstretched hand, and smiled, shaking her head as she spat at her hand and took your hand firmly "You better not make me regret this, Gypsy." She chuckled.
"Spit for spit, blood for blood." You echoed your Aunt's old saying when speaking on your Romani origins, and Bonnie bit her lip, standing curtly and moving over to you, placing herself on your lap and pecking your lips, pushing her rear into your groin.
"You're worse than heroin. I'm almost grateful that you won't be darkening my Office door anymore."
You captured her in a deeper, much hotter kiss, a string of saliva breaking between you as you grinned like a knife.
"What are you smiling at?" She asked curiously.
