She is pissed

“VANESSA ELIZABETH ADKINS! How dare you! I did not raise you like this? To just give away all that money?! What the fuck were you thinking you useless good for nothing child!” Michelle yelled. “And you didn’t even leave anything for me!”

“It’s not about you, mom,” Vanessa said. “We’ve already done enough. This money isn’t helping any of us. It’s only tearing us apart. Don’t you see that? Look at what you did to your own daughter for crying out loud! We don’t deserve all this money and... good for nothing? Is that really what you think of me? After everything....”

“I should have eliminated you when I got the chance,” Michelle growled.

“Eliminated?” Vanessa said, confused.

“If I used the exemption clause than none of you would see a penny. And all that money would be mine!” Michelle shouted. “Instead you give it away to the fucking poor and their lazy asses!”

“E-exemption clause? What exemption?” Vanessa said in surprise.

“The line where it says if neither daughter qualifies, I get all the money from dear Aunt Audrey,” Michelle said.

“What.... and you would have used that? Just to get money?” Vanessa said, feeling betrayed.

“If I knew you were going to be a worthless child about it, then I would have!” Michelle yelled.

Vanessa pursed her lips trying to remain composed. “You know what, mom? If it’s that important to you, keep it. I don’t want any of it. Come on, Lauren. Let’s get out of here.”

Lauren nodded as she followed her sister out the door, Megan behind her.
