His son and I had a fight. Well, more like his son had a fight. He lurched over to me all drunk and started yelling about some girl or something. When he eventually tried to punch me in the face, I stepped to the side and threw him. As childish as it may sound, "He started it" was actually more or less the truth in this case. As you can imagine though, his father didn't see it that way. That pretty much ensured that I wouldn't get a job there. Now, instead of spending my summer working as an intern, at a global tech company, I was stuck lugging around a cranky push mower every weekend, while literally everyone was having a blast at those damned parties.
Looking back, maybe I overdid it. But truthfully, what was to come was well worth the trouble.

Teenage boy stumbles upon the secret of a lifetime (Writing In Progress)
Truth is, there are people who are "invisible". People who we look "through". Kind of like having a "grown-up" conversation while an infant or two year old is in the room. We are aware of their presence, but we don't worry about what they might see or hear. We only notice them when we choose to. As a certain group goes on to find out though, there can be repercussions for not taking the "invisible" into account.
