Kenny Does His Best To Listen To JJ

Kenny moved to the fireplace and grabbed the lighter sitting on the top of the fireplace and moved to grab a log from the pile sitting next to the pit. Just as he knelt down Anna came rushing into the room making him jump back up to his feet, "Hey Anna, what's up?"

"Oh, um, nothing, I was just...I felt bad for you doing this for me, so I thought I'd come help," Anna sheepishly explained, unable to not think Nicole's advice from earlier,

Kenny nodded back, "Thanks, but I got it, it's okay," He replied rubbing the back of his neck, "You can go back and finish eating if you want,"

"No, no, I was just about done anyway, and I'd feel bad, you are doing it for me after all," Anna replied, ignoring her nerves,

"Alright," Kenny merely said with a nod and then knelt back down. He began to fill the fireplace with logs in silence as Anna silently stood behind him, arms crossed, and lips pursed unsure what to say or do. After placing the last log in the pit he turned to Anna and let out a sigh, "Hey, let's just forget about this morning, hmm?"

Anna let out a sigh of relief and immediately smiled as she shut her eyes, "Yes, I think that's a great idea,"

"Great," Kenny said while starting to relax, "I'd rather we not have that moment hanging over us all week, it happened, it was a little awkward but we're friends, we're mature, we can just put it behind us,"

"I agree completely," Anna nodded, "And I'm sorry I acted so strangely this morning, I honestly think it's because of a dream I had with Eric, it just felt so real that it threw me when I looked over and saw you," The blonde girl explained before catching herself at the end of her thought, "Not that I was grossed out, or uncomfortable seeing you, Ken. I'm sorry, that sounded mean,"

"No, you're okay, I get what you meant, don't worry about it," Kenny said with a half-smile, "You and Eric were very close, if I woke up thinking my ex-girlfriend was next to me, I'd have been thrown seeing you too,"

Anna relaxed again and her smile returned, "I appreciate you being so understanding,"

"Of course, would it...I can ask Nicole to switch we me so I'm with Mindy if that makes you more comfortable," Kenny offered causing Anna to look at him with slight surprise,

"O-Oh...um," Anna stumbled out, thinking over his offer for a moment. Sharing a room with Nicole would be more comfortable for her, they'd done it a million times over the years, and she was sure Kenny and Mindy would feel the same. Yet, agreeing seemed like a cruel decision, after apologizing and asking to move on from their moment, their little nothing moment, she'd then kick him out of the room?

"No, Kenny, I appreciate the offer but we're that's an overreaction for something we've already forgotten, right?" Anna said in a friendly tone while walking over to the fireplace and grabbing a small box of firestarters, "Now, I believe we'll need to use one of these," Anna said while kneeling down next to Kenny,

Kenny, unable to hide a genuine smile, took the box from her hand and pulled one out, "Yeah, let's see if I can get this, thanks," He replied as he placed the firestarter beneath the logs and lit it with his lighter. Minutes later the fire was roaring and Anna was already starting to feel warmer, "So, uh, any thoughts on what you are gonna do today?" He asked the blonde girl.
