The KDK always seemed to have something to surprise you when a new subject was revealed but Lucy being into cum was truly unexpected. Given her personality, you had figured she would have been similar to Emma before the change but with this, it felt like it was gonna be a lot more interesting leveling her up. That wasn't to say she was gonna be less of a bully but you had plenty of time to think up a couple of plans to deal with that like you had done with the previous subjects.

After a quick wash of the hands, you went back out and headed to the dining room where Sarah was still setting up the table. You had expected Lucy to have been with her but she was there on her own.

“Lucy’s gone checking out her room and wanted to start unpacking” Sarah responded, seemingly knowing what you were about to say.

“Ah fair enough,” you replied. Knowing Mom was just in the other room you got closer to Sarah so you could talk about your dinner plans.

“Lucy’s aware of the phone plan and should hopefully back us up if it comes to that. I assumed Mom might be a bit more open to it now that she's back but I’m still gonna need you to support me as well” you whispered.

“Anything specific you want me to say? Or a point where you think I should jump in? “ she whispered back.

You thought over your rough plan to try and find the best time for Sarah but another idea popped into your head that was too tempting to resist. With Lucy now being added back to the family table, you wouldn't be able to progress the level ups of all three of them when it came to saying grace. But, with Sarah’s free use there might now be a way around that.

“Okay, I’ve got an idea. I’ll tap you with my foot when I want you to join in or if there's a point that I really want you to emphasise”

“I can do that” agreed Sarah, after considering the idea.

“Good, It would be easiest if you sat here opposite me while Emma and Mom sit here” you explained, gesturing to the places being set around the table while Sarah nodded in agreement.

With the basic plan now sorted and only a few minutes till dinner, you helped Sarah finish setting the table before Mom called her into the kitchen to help carry in the food. Sarah motioned her head towards the stairs as she left, telling you to call Lucy down from her room. You did as she asked before making your way to the spot you had picked out. Everyone slowly filtered in and took their respective seats once the food had all been plated up.

A small smile crept up your face as Mom was a bit more hesitant to sit down. Although she tried to hide it, her earlier spanking must have left her feeling a bit raw. You managed to calm down and put on a neutral looking expression before Mom was able to turn and look at you to check if you had noticed.

Instead of meeting her gaze, you took the opportunity to review everyone's places. The layout of the table meant that Lucy was to your right and Mom was to your left at the head of the table, followed by Sarah who was both to Mom’s left and also opposite you. You reached out your foot cautiously to make sure you could reach Sarah without either looking suspicious or accidentally tapping Mom and although it was a stretch at first, once Sarah realised what you were doing, she moved her feet under the table closer to the centre.

“Take it I’m not doing grace this time?” you asked, getting a small smile from Sarah and a frown from Mom.

“Wait, you said grace?” Lucy questioned

“Yeah, it was really sh…” Sarah answered before cutting herself off to avoid Mom’s wrath.

Mom still turned to glare at Sarah before answering.

“I think it's best if I stick to leading grace for now” Mom admitted.

You join hands with both Mom and Lucy before letting Mom carry out one of the usual prayers that she had memorised. It didn't last long but you were pretty sure that both Lucy and Mom would now have reached the threshold for their next level-ups. Mom started off the conversation and unsurprisingly, the main topic of conversation was dominated by Lucy’s time at college.

Lucy had always been the more rebellious out of the three of us but when it came to writing, she would be up for anything to help improve her skills, even if it meant following the rules Mom had set in place. It was one of the reasons she moved to a more urban city as she really wanted to be at a more ‘arts’ focused campus where she could learn from the best. A better campus was probably not her only reason for moving away from home - the other main one presumably being her apparent hatred of your father John - but it was a pretty big factor in getting Mom to accept her leaving home.

Both you and Sarah were probably gonna speak to her later about the more fun aspects of college life but with Mom currently listening in, Lucy would probably have to censor herself and skip over the interesting parts of the stories.

After a good discussion about Lucy’s studies, she changed the topic in a direction you could hopefully segway into your plan.

“Yeah, it's been a bit of a struggle managing that and the part-time job I've got but my manager has been pretty chill with any scheduling conflicts I’ve had in the past” Lucy explained after Mom had asked about her financial situation.

“I wanted to bring that up actually, Mom,” you said quickly cutting into the conversation. This probably wouldn't be the best segway but you were determined to make it work.

“So, I was thinking about looking for a part-time or a summer job myself but I was pretty sure you were just gonna shoot it down”

“Why would I shoot you getting a job down?” Mom questioned with a puzzled look on her face.

“Well if I do get something then I’d probably need my own phone in case they ever need me to come in…”

“... We’ve talked about this before. Unless you have a legitimate reason...“ Mom sternly replied.

“Well, I thought you might have loosened up that rule considering both me and Sarah are both 18 now. It’s not like I can continue using the house phone if work wanted to contact me in an emergency, or you for that matter if I'm on a shift or something and you need to get in touch. I’d consider that legitimate.” you explained.

“I’m sure I could get in touch with a coworker or just ring wherever you are working…” Mom tried reasoning.

“That will get annoying for both you and whoever your ringing pretty fast. Plus with summer break coming up I’m pretty sure both me and Sarah might be out of the house a bit more and you always complain about us not telling you where we are” you added trying to give as many reasons as possible. Now was probably the best time for Sarah to come in so you quickly rubbed your foot against her leg. She quickly got the message and joined in.

“Yeah Mom, there's probably gonna be a few extra cheer practices soon and some of the team members have been having trouble contacting me as is,” Sarah added.

“You seem to have been getting by fine without one so far” Mom countered.

“That's only because we can arrange stuff while we’re in school. Once the break starts there won't be much chance for all of us to arrange a time together. I don't want anything top of the line or anything so it won't cost a tonne” Sarah replied.

“Plus Emma has promised to give me one of her old ones so I can chip in a little bit towards getting Sarah one as well” you reasoned.

All three of them looked a little surprised at your offer considering you never usually offered to spend money when you didn't have to. Considering both Sarah and Lucy knew you already had a phone, you hadn't expected much of a reaction out of the two of them.

“Come on please Mom,” Sarah pleaded.

Mom looked hesitant to give an answer but with all of us waiting for a response she had to give a verdict.
