Surveying the extension

You regret explaining everything on the car ride home, because you almost immediately need to do it again for the rest of the girls. They all have similar concerns as Kali, but you mollify them by explaining that this stuff isn’t happening anytime soon. You won’t risk a trip to the old world until you’re sure you can come back. After all, there’s six beautiful girls who want you around!

A few days later, the surveyor shows up to check out where you want to build your new addition. He’s a man who appears to be in his mid 50s, with an easy smile and a pleasant demeanor.

“Mr Meyer! A pleasure to meet you. I’m Frank.”

You shake his hand. He has a strong grip, but not painfully so.

“Please, just Josh is fine. I understand you used to do some work for my parents before...their accident.”

“I did. Good people. Terrible shame, what happened. I hear you’re doing well now though. Heard you got a little group of those monster girls following you around.”

You nod, unsure of his feelings on that subject. His grin says it all though.

“Tell you what, if I was younger, I’d be right there with ya! Don’t tell my wife though!” He bursts into laughter. “How many girls you got running around now?”

“Six, for now”

Frank whistles, and chuckles. “Lucky man, until they start popping out kids! Be a full house some day.” He turns to the two men with him, who have been quietly listening and looking around. “Almost forgot, these are the two trainees. Rein and Rex. Just started, this is their training assignment.”

You turn to them, offering your hand to shake. Seemingly reluctantly, they do, but neither says anything, just giving you a curt nod each. They seem older than you expected, looking like they are in their 30s, and they seem more interested in looking around than anything.

You turn back to Frank. “Couple quiet ones, huh?”

“Yeah, I told them to be quiet and learn for their first day. Anyway, you’re building here, and you want us to keep it hidden as we work? A little bit odd.”

You chuckle, shaking your head. “It’s a surprise for the girls.”

Frank smiles, then points to the roof. “Including her?”

Glancing up, you see Sadie sitting on the roof, watching. “Sadie, I see you. No peeking! Don’t make me come spank you!”

You hear her giggle. “Don’t threaten me with a good time, Joshie!”

You sigh, and Frank laughs. For their part, Rex and Rein seem to be looking at the djinn thoughtfully. You dismiss that as having not seen many monster girls.

Frank chuckles, “She seems fun. Like I said, I’m a little jealous.”

“Sadie’s great, but takes nothing seriously. Anyway, I think a privacy fence around the construction will be sufficient.”

Frank nods. “Done and done. I’ve seen the building plan, shouldn’t take more than a couple weeks. We can even throw up a curtain inside where the door comes through so you can do a big reveal. Just wish I could come check it out with your girls and you when you try it out.”

“Well, maybe I’ll invite you over sometime.”

Frank laughs, “No, no...my wife would kill me, looking at all those girls.”

You both laugh at that. He continues, “Me and the boys here will look around, make sure everything is good to start. Should take about an hour. Rest of the crew will start tomorrow. Sound good?”
