What does Adeline have to say? Why does she disagree with Finn's decision?
Adeline's Hysteria
"What are you talking about?? This is my decision, and I already know I want to do this..." - Finn asked, with a tone that matched Adeline's assertive one, so she couldn't get too intense so soon, and let her know there is not much to argue here. While Finn was a bit surprised to see the android storm in their conversation, and interrupt such an important moment, he tried to remain calm, so the situation couldn't get out of control, but apparently, this wasn't enough for Adeline, as she took Finn's response harshly, and proceeded on expressing her opinion.
"Are you sure?? Do you really think you could trust a dragon girl like that?? She must be lying to you!! Can't you see it??... She wants to take you out of the island to either **** you in all kinds of messed up ways, or attack the island... Do you really want to leave your friends **** here, and risk the chance of these monsters destroying everything and everyone you love??" - Adeline asked back, with a raised tone, that was so intense, it shook everyone at the table, apart from Haze, who realized the android girl was going to be a huge problem for her, and an obstacle in her job, and Finn's mission. But as everyone listened to Adeline's menacing words, someone decided to calm her down, since she was starting to get very aggressive, for no apparent reason, other than things that everyone already knew.
"Hey! Calm down... we trusted you when you arrived here, so have a little respect and don't judge them without any evidence... Is a bit hypocritical of you, don't you think??... Besides, I will stay on the island, and I can easily defend it and all of our friends, so you don't need to worry about that..." - Zoey exclaimed, trying to get Adeline's attention, and make her reason with herself, but in a respectful manner, to not make her more aggressive. She really liked the android girl, but now that she couldn't make sense of anything she was saying, Zoey got a little concerned for her, and while she tried to talk to her, she wasn't able to control her, since she wasn't as calm as Finn, and meant that Adeline got even angrier, now at her, and the monster girls.
"Without any evidence?? What do you mean Zoey?? Just with a bit of research I managed to find where these lying whores come from... I know exactly what they do, what they had done in the past, and what they want to do now... They plan to take Finn to the Skylight City as part of his training program... and that city is known for exploiting young males like him to work for the queen, who is even more of a bitch than these three pathetic fucks..." - Adeline replied, keeping a slightly calm composure, but still expressing her aggressiveness, and hate towards the monster girls, with vulgar words, and insults, that shocked everyone to hear.
They all knew she had some disdain for the monster girls, just like a few of them had, but no one was expecting Adeline to be this intense, and mad about it. Lilith, Itzel, and even Katsumi tried to cover their ears, since they couldn't stand the android girl's explosive behavior, and how rude she was being. Finn just couldn't believe she was telling the truth, and got very skeptical of her, besides being concerned, for this new hate fueled attitude, that was making everyone uncomfortable. But while Adeline's curses shocked everyone, Faranne was the most affected by it, and wasn't going to let her talk like that anymore, or not in front of everyone, like she was doing now.
"Adeline!! I won't allow that kind of language at the table! You either compose yourself, or I will kick you out of this island right now!" - Faranne shouted, with an equally intense voice, that sounded more authoritative than Adeline's, since she was used to getting assertive. But as she attempted to control the android girl, because she really couldn't stand her being so vulgar, specially in front of her little sister, she actually managed to get Adeline angrier, since she believed she was telling the truth, and knew everything that was happening, and didn't want to argue with her friends, because they were just wrong in her eyes.
"Really?? How ignorant can you be?? I'm the smartest at the table, definitely smarter than you... You don't possess even the smallest percentage of knowledge I have... I know everything about these monsters... just like I know everything about you... Are you seriously trying to argue with my facts?? Or are you just that dumb?" - Adeline asked mockingly, with a threatening, and very creepy grin, as she tried being passive aggressive, but clearly leaned more to the aggressive side, as she got so intense that she ended up hurting Faranne's feelings. Her response caught everyone off guard, yet again, but Faranne actually didn't know what to say to that, she was speechless, and visibly sad, which made all of her friends comfort her, and start hating Adeline, who they still couldn't figure out why she was acting like that. But as Adeline made Faranne frown, Finn didn't care about her reason, or if she was going to apologize or not, he just couldn't let someone hurt Faranne, and he was going to do anything to protect her.
"Don't talk like that to Faranne... I know you might know a lot about the world and species or whatever... But I think you might make a few mistakes once in a while... I'm sure you would lie just to convince us all... Or maybe you don't know what you are talking about Adeline... maybe you are the idiot here..." - Finn quickly replied, with an assertive tone of his own, as Adeline's comments really annoyed him, and he wasn't scared of expressing it. Now everyone turned their attention to him, after seeing him snap at the android girl, and getting intense as well, which made Faranne smile, as she knew he was trying to defend her, but also concerned, from seeing him so pissed off. Finn mainly based his argument around the lie she told him, about not being able to get any girls pregnant, that he still didn't know if it was true, but he suspected a lot that was fake. And as that was all he had to say, Adeline was immediately infuriated by his response, and even though she didn't want to, she ended up aiming her hatred towards him.
"ME?? I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?? HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY-..." - Adeline screamed in rage, as her eyes turned red, and gave Finn a deadly, threatening stare, after finding his response insulting, without realizing that she was insulting, and being mean with everyone, even her friends. They all knew they couldn't argue with her, even less now, that she was starting to scream, but before they could see the true power of Adeline's hate, she was interrupted by someone else, and thankfully, that meant she couldn't get more intense (which would have probably made everyone cry, from insulting everyone).
"Adeline is right... She is exaggerating, but she is telling the truth... Our job is taking Finn to Skylight City, that's where he has to train... and the program is quite... hard, to say the least... and he might suffer more before he becomes a warrior, but that's just how things are... We don't mean any harm to him, we don't even know him, or care what he does with his life... but our leader ordered us to take him to her, so there's not much we can do here... We are just trying to do our jobs here, so forgive us from withholding some valuable information, and let's try not to make this personal..." - Haze interfered, in a serious, sincere, and even sympathetic manner, that got everyone's attention, and gave them the entire truth, without the need of getting mad, or screaming, like Adeline was trying to do. And while her explanation got everybody thinking, and processing all the information, it seemed like Haze wasn't able to defuse the situation completely, even though she did control it a little, because Adeline remained mad at her, but at least not at her friends.
"Right... but you are still trying to **** Finn to give up his happy life for a sad, miserable, and worthless life as a warrior... Admit it... You don't care about Finn, and you would let him rot in a training camp just to do your job... You are such a-..." - Adeline continued saying, with the same aggressive, but more toned down voice, and expression, that kept looking menacing, but now, only for Haze, who didn't care much about it, since she has seen scarier things in her past. But as Adeline was just about to insult the dragon girl again, and Finn, with most of his friends, thought of what to say, someone was able to make sense of the situation, or at least come up with a good solution, to stop Adeline from talking more, which was what everyone wanted.
"Wait!... I think that training program takes place in multiple cities, right?" - Katsumi exclaimed in panic, after realizing something very important, that she hoped would help this situation, and stop this madness. She really wanted everyone to stop screaming, and insulting at each other, but as she was too nervous to talk, she only made one question, before trying to phrase her other thoughts in her mind, although, to be fair, everyone was also just as shocked as her, and they had a hard time comprehending the magnitude, or intensity of this discussion.
"Yes, some of the more popular elven cities offer the training program, but they are very few... besides, it won't be as effective as if he went to Skylight City, so he must go there to train... if he ends up accepting his mission..." - Haze quickly responded, to prevent Adeline from speaking again, as she knew if she gave her a bit of time, she would immediately go back to talking, and insulting her. But as the dragon girl's sincere answer gave Katsumi hope, she thought a bit more of her idea, and decided to propose it to the group, even though she was a bit shy to do so.
"I know, but technically he could still train there, and complete all of the requirements he needs to become a warrior..." - Katsumi said, now getting a bit nervous, since all of her friends were looking at him, even Adeline, who kept looking pretty menacing. But as they were all eager to hear her idea, Haze got a bit curious too, so she decided to encourage the foxgirl to say it.
"I guess that is true..." - Haze muttered, a bit uncertain of what Katsumi might be thinking, and even getting a bit skeptical, since she didn't know her. But with everybody's attention, making her a bit shy, but waiting for her to say something, Katsumi looked at Finn, and after seeing his supportive smile, she had the courage to explain her idea, or at least tell the basic premise, because she was too shy to say all of it.
"Then maybe he could go train to my city... My sister and I live not too far away from this island... I'm sure he could go train there, it is a nicer place for him to live... and if he doesn't stay for too long, he will be closer to his home, so he could come back soon..." - Katsumi finally said, as she looked at everyone, and tried to be clear, which she was able to, but still ended up blushing in embarrassment, and staying quiet, for the rest of the discussion. Immediately after she proposed her idea, everyone was surprised, and hopeful, that it could actually work, but since they couldn't be sure, they waited until Haze confirmed their doubts.
"You are right, that might be an option... He could get all of his training done there, but it would take longer... and the training programs start sooner in those cities as well..." - Haze replied, with a thoughtful expression, like she was also analyzing Katsumi's idea, and trying to figure out if it was good or not. But as her face showed some hope of changing Finn's mission to go to the foxgirl's city, and train there, all of his friends gasped, after seeing the dragon girl's reaction, and believing there might be a chance to change the plan. They all got very excited, and almost tried to cheer, but uncertainty still loomed on their minds, no one said anything, and even Finn, who couldn't believe what was happening, and tried processing what Haze said, before getting interrupted, once again, by the sharkgirl, who just finished eating.
"Yea, yea... we can all discuss this later... I have to give Finn another training lesson, so we have to go..." - Tsuri said abruptly, after finding the situation to complicated, and as an excuse to leave the discussion, she thought of giving Finn another training lesson, which caught him off guard, as he wasn't expecting to train again with her, and he wanted to think more about Katsumi's idea.
"You do? I mean... We do??" - Finn asked in confusion, as he looked at Tsuri, and only got a playful smirk as a response, which didn't tell much, but still made him a bit nervous. He was trying to comprehend how his mission could be affected, or changed, if he trained in another city, but as Tsuri was already standing up, he forgot a bit about it, since he remembered what could happen in their training lessons. Finn tried to resist, as he really wanted to stay at the table, and discuss this situation even more, but since his friends didn't think much about it, they unfortunately allowed Tsuri to take him to the lake, so they could train a bit more...
How is Finn going to train with Tsuri?
