Enjoying the Weekend

As you slept you soon found yourself in an alleyway dark cold and alone. Looking around you could smell trash and blood with people dead or dying left and right. You wandered through the alleyway before you tripped and then you woke up.

Opening your eyes you awoke to your back drenched in sweat. Looking forward you found your wife cuddled up to you sound asleep without a care in the world as she pressed her back to your chest. Being careful slowly untangled yourself from your wife and facing the other side of the bed sat up staring at the floor.

You could still smell the blood and stench of death in the air and as you looked at your hands you could see them covered in blood before you blinked and then nothing. Sighing you wiped the sweat on your forehead before checking the time to see that it was only Saturday 10:00am your nap had obviously only been an hour if that clock was right.

Standing up you walked over quietly looking to see your son sound asleep his little arms around his head as he slept his blanket covering him. You smiled as you saw him quietly snore much like Harmony did in her sleep along with the blond tufts of hair on his head that was slowly growing more and more prominent with every passing day.

You smiled walking over to your small kitchenette and poured yourself a small glass of water before drinking it. You stretched your arms and legs before quietly putting on your sneakers and grabbing your wallet and wand left your dorm quietly closing the door behind you.

As you walked into the Wyvern common room you looked to see some Wyvern students looking at you whispering before you slowly walked out into the main hallway. Making your way to the dining hall you grabbed yourself a late breakfast of eggs, sausage and some tortillas.

Rolling up the tortilla you quietly ate your breakfast drinking some more water before a black haired boy stood behind you. “Can I help you?” You said without even looking behind you. “Yeah you can by divorcing your wife, killing your kid and then yourself.”

You resisted the urge to slug the boy remembering what the headmaster said before releasing the fist you formed before replying. “And why would I even fathom the idea of doing any of that?” Your replied as you swallowed the last of your breakfast.

“Because a woman like Harmony doesn’t deserve garbage like you and that bastard of yours doesn’t deserve a family either.” You frowned once again resisting the urge to once again slug the boy before standing up and turning to address him directly.

“Whats your name?” You asked politely. To which the boy replied. “Jackson Silverblood.” You only nodded before slowly walking off as he yelled. “Why the hell did you ask my name if your just gonna run you coward.” Jackson yelled.

You only smiled turning to face him before replying. “Because then I know not show any mercy once fall dueling season is over.” you replied with a sadistic grin. To which you walked off heading back to your dorm.

As you entered your dorm however you soon were hit with feelings and thoughts of worry unlike anything you had heard or felt before you heard Harmony’s voice inside your head. “Stay calm its not like he can hurt you now I just have to watch out for Nathan and Anthony that’s all right?” She said doubt clouding her mind.

You looked over to see Harmony still sound asleep while Anthony was much the same and yet you wondered if she was having a nightmare or something perhaps your psionic bond was acting up? As you got back in bed once more you wrapped your arms around your wife settling into bed once more as her train of thought suddenly began to change.

“It’s fine it’s fine really he can’t hurt me here nor will get anywhere near Anthony not if Nathan or I have anything say about it.” Harmony thoughts marched on through your head before you wrapped your arms around your wife.

“No one will lay a hand on you or Anthony not if I can help it.” You spoke through your mind. It felt weird trying to speak through your mind as you had only done it one other time back when you and Harmony had first formed the Psionic bond you hoped you did right only for Harmony’s giggles to fill your mind.

“Only an idiot like you could stumble into my mind listen in and then reply worrying more about whether I heard it or not and I did but.” She trailed off only for you pick up the slack.

“Good this mind thing is working now I can yell perverted and dirty things whenever we’re together speaking of which Mrs. BlackThorn I hate say it but Silas is back and he investigating us because of the Princeton incident apparently.”

“You mean-” Harmony said before you cut her off. “Yes he’ll be on campus but there will be hell to pay before I even allow him within a few feet of Anthony and you willingly besides the scope of his warrant according to the headmaster only extends to us not to our handsome little boy sleeping right there.” You said through your mind.

Harmony sighed in relief through your psionic bond before replying. “So long as you and our little one are fine thats all the matters to me in the end.” She said as snuggled closer to you. You only snuggled closer to your wife before replying. “Yeah I still find it amazing that we brought him into the world hell I still find it hard to believe that’s our son sleeping right there, that you and I actually made him.”

“Well believe it mister and get some sleep while you can because you can bet that once that ball of energy wakes up neither of us are going to be getting sleep.” Harmony said before going silent through the psionic bond you shared with her. You only snuggled in closer she was right after all but then again she was always the level headed one in the relationship.
