Dinner conversation (Elys POV)

Elys and Maya smile at each other, chatting about nothing in particular as they wait for food to arrive. They sipped drinks as they talked. Elys picked out a simple casual restaurant to eat in. She mostly just wanted time with Maya.

Eventually the conversation turned a bit serious, as Maya set her drink aside. “Elys, I wanted to ask, are you ok with how our relationship? I mean, you know how much I love Josh...”

Elys smiles. She had done a lot of thinking about this. If she was honest, normally she wouldn’t be fine with being number two in her love’s life. Somehow, with Josh, it was different. The fact that he was not only ok with this date, but encouraged it, it somehow showed the love and trust he had in both of them.

“Thatsss sssomething I’ve thought a lot about, Maya. I think asss long asss you’re happy, and we can ssspend a little time alone, I’m going to be happy. Remember, I love him too. Itsss weird, but I’ve never been happier.”

It was true, Elys was happier now than she ever was, even back in the old world. When she was assigned to bodyguard a young human and his two girls, she expected to be miserable, fending off pawing advances from some scummy guy. Instead, she met Maya, and Josh...and in the end fell in love. Josh was a gentleman about her preferences, and respectful of her opinions. Even when he made a decision she didn’t agree with, like bringing in Kali, it turned out that he was right. For example, Kali was turning out to be a lovely person since her change.

Maya grins. “I’m glad to hear that, darling. I’m just amazed that you asked him for this.”

Elys chuckles. “He kind of overheard me talking to Anna about it. He wasss very underssstanding, and told me that he approved of usss.”

“Well of course he does! My Josh loves us and wants us to be happy!”

“I never thought I would sssay thisss, but...he isss a wonderful man, and we’re lucky to have him.”

Maya giggles, “Did I tell you that I told him to breed me when we fucked in the woods?”

“Maya! What?!”

Maya grins, “It was a heat of the moment thing, but I think it turned him on. And honestly...me too!”

Elys grows quiet, thinking about this. Having his children. She supposed that would be the culmination of most girls relationships. Elys had never thought about that, though. Now that she was...she didn’t hate the thought of it. If it was with anyone, it would be him...

Maya leans forward. “I see that look. You’re thinking about it too!”

Elys blushes, “You read me too well, dear. I...I wouldn’t sssay no to the idea. Itsss not what I want right now, but sssomeday...”

Maya nods. “That’s how I feel, and I get the impression from Josh that he’s the same.”

Elys giggles. “I would really have to keep calling him ‘daddy’ if we did that!”

“You say that as if you and him don’t enjoy that!”

Elys shrugs, smiling. “I know he did the other night. Not so much in the morning, though!”
