A boring Friday

As expected your Friday was boring as hell. You went to your classes went through the motions and Harmony did the same before the two of you packed a few things, prepared a bag for little Anthony and then boarded one of your private trains bound for Princeton.

As you boarded the train you could feel Harmony doing the same with her invisibility cloak on her and little Anthony who thankfully was sound asleep. As the train left the station you settled into one of your private cars before Harmony revealed herself and little Anthony removing the cloak. You smiled as Anthony quietly drank from his bottle holding it between his two little hands as his brown and blue eyes stared up at Harmony inquisitively.

You stood and sat down next to Harmony as the train chugged along occasionally its whistle tooting. As you wrapped an arm around Harmony Anthony soon finished his bottle before long. You placed a towel on your shoulder before you placed little Anthony on your shoulder and began to burb your son gently patting him on the back.

“Are you nervous?” Harmony asked as she leaned onto you her long blonde locks free from any braiding or styling of any kind. “No we are just getting married thats all if anything I’m excited.” You said smiling at Harmony she smiled in response before you heard the satisfying burb from little Anthony.

“Is someone done eating? Are you ready to spend some time with mommy?” Harmony said as she took little Anthony from your shoulders and began to pepper his face with kisses as he giggled and laughed trying to cover his face with his tiny hands. You smiled before joining in. “Hey what am I chopped liver? What about dad? Aren’t you excited to spend some time with dad?”

“No he wants to spend time with his mommy tell him Anthony.” Harmony said as she rubbed her cheeks against little Anthony face causing him to giggle with glee. You only laughed before taking Anthony from Harmony’s arms and lifting him up high in the air above you as you laid down on the floor.

“No don’t you want to spend some time with dad come on it’ll be our little secret.” You said as Harmony watched on smiling. In response little Anthony only began to yawn before you also began to yawn much to Harmony’s amusement. “Someone's getting sleepy.” Harmony said in a singsong voice.

You only nodded smiling before bringing your son to your chest as he slowly began to close his eyes begin and drift off to sleep as you did the same. You could feel a blanket being put on you and little Anthony as the two of you drifted off to sleep right there on the train floor.

As you drifted off to sleep you wrapped your arms around your son as he too drifted off to sleep as well. Before darkness overtook you.

After what felt like a few hours however you awoke to Harmony gently shaking your shoulder. “What is it?” You whispered as you looked up at Harmony. She smiled before replying. “We’re gonna be there in a few minutes so we need to wake up Anthony otherwise he won’t want to sleep during the night.”

You nodded before looking down to see your son sound asleep his arms wrapped around your neck, his little chest rising and falling as he laid his head on your chest. Smiling you reluctantly rubbed his back to try and wake him up. He stirred but only snuggled in closer to you causing Harmony to giggle before she spoke. “Yup there’s no doubt about it he definitely inherited your sleeping habits.” Harmony said as she too began to rub Anthony’s back before speaking.

“Come on love you need to get up otherwise your not gonna be able to sleep tonight.” Little Anthony in response only stirred a little more before you slowly sat up holding him to your chest as you did so. “Come on little guy wakey wakey.” You said as you slowly stood up.

In response your son slowly began to open his eyes blinking a few times before he began to cry at being woken up. “Looks like he’s more tired then I thought.” Harmony said as she took her son from your arms and held him to her chest rubbing his back with one of her hands. “Shhhhhh its okay its okay mommy and daddy are here don’t worry shhhhhh.....” Harmony said as she rubbed little Anthony’s back.

Before long Anthony calmed down as the train began to pull into Princeton Station. “Well looks like we’re here are you ready?” You asked as you looked to Harmony. In response Harmony only smiled patting her son’s back as the two of you got off the train.
