Cheering up (Sadie POV)

Sadie hummed a tune as she bounces into the living room. Jumping onto the couch, she giggled as she startled Kali, who was relaxed in front of the television.

“Heya new girl! We haven’t had much chance to talk, but I’m Sadie!”

Sadie smiled, scooting over next to the confused Lilim. The others had told Sadie about Kali, but the djinn never knew her before the day she ‘attacked’ and got transformed into what she was now. Sadie wanted to get to know this seemingly shy, angelic girl, but Kali always seemed down. Not sure how to cheer her up, Sadie jumped at this chance to corner her.

Kali smiles nervously. “Umm, hello Sadie. W-what did you want?”

“I wanna hang out! You’re really pretty, and I love those wings! Can you fly? Maya can’t fly without my help. Do you want me to help you fly? It’s fun!”

Kali looks overwhelmed by the barrage of questions and excitement. Sadie knows she can be a little bit much at first, but that’s what she planned this time. She found that if you just get someone off balance you can get them talking easier.

Kali finally gets a word in. “I-I hadn’t tried flying in my new form...I couldn’t before, but...”

“Ohh, we should try it! You might want different clothes though. If you fly in that dress we could all see your panties. Unless you want that! Ohhh, or maybe you don’t wear any...”

Sadie grins as she looks at the blushing Lilim. Truth is, she was a little jealous of Kali. Tall, strong, and curvy, she was like a statue come to life. Sadie knew she was pretty, but Kali was stunning.

Kali bites her lip and looks at the excitable djinn. “I d-don’t really have anything but dresses right now. B-but I don’t mind if anyone here sees my underwear, really. Everyone seems really I-open about stuff like that.”

Sadie nods. “Oh yeah, mostly. I mean, we’re all with Josh, and most of us are playing with each other too! No reason to be shy, especially you!”

“W-what do you mean?”

“I mean, look at you! You’re perfect!”

Kali blushes. “T-thank you for saying so, but looks aren’t everything...”

Sadie grows a bit more serious. “I know, and I know about your past. Everyone has done things they regret. What matters is what we do going forward. The past can’t change, only the future can.”

Kali blinks, staring at the djinn. Sadie smiles, and gently pats her on the thigh. “I’m not dumb, Kali, I just act like it sometimes. I know you’re going through a lot, and having some very serious conversations. I felt like you needed a friend, and lighthearted fun. I’m good at that.”

“I...thank you, Sadie. I’m sorry for misjudging you.”

Sadie waves away the apology. “Now, enough serious talk! Let’s go see if you can fly! And peek at your panties!”
