The Undead

The dead unbelievably conquer the realm. Many lying in slumber in wait to be awoken, while the restless may walk the halls like guards.

Once living creatures, now animated by supernatural or spiritual means.

What ever existing species of races from other realms that adventure to far inland of the necrotic Affinity zone become consumed by these forces, trapping them here inside the realm. They could attempt to leave, but these choices can fail, as the sickening energy eventually infects them regardless of which realm there in at the time. If inside the necrotic realm, however, they will become reanimated themselves. An undying victim **** into this displeasing form to the life filled eyes of the innocent. Could cause chaos if they’re not in the realm undead. Wether controlled or corruptly untamable.

The skeleton is the weakest and are most common creatures that are in this realm. Some adorned with armor, making it greater in difficultly to kill. Zombies that still have their leathery decoying flesh attached to their bones, are predominately tougher than their skeletal counterparts. In this case the younger vessels that have been placed in caskets would be more likely to be zombified in detail.

Still displaying characteristics that made them once alive. Wearing clothing, jewelry and armor. Some can even retain memories or desires that sentient being naturally dire to. Like the emotional and physical desires that limited them in the past, commonly seen as sins. The cannibalistic, or in this case gluttony.

Vampires display this, as curse to consume blood and hide from the light of day, while becoming immortal to the effects of age. The vampire, alive, but not died, they must experience **** before they are gifted and cursed with their vampire like abilities. Vampires are seen in this realm, however are far fewer, because of there gift of immortality. It came with many more consequences other than blood-thrist.

Many stories of the undead can and do exist here, as ghosts or ghoulish in form, and many other mythical being of the undying and immortal. What sits before them, is a leading ruler who will come to control and manipulate the dead through magical or other infectious means of transformation.
