Meet with your magic council.

The war room is already looking fancy. There's a polished, dark wooden table in the center surrounded by chairs, and shelves have been put up along the walls. A few books and maps have already been stocked as well. It's a nice place to have a meeting, and that's exactly your plan this afternoon. You call for Vivi, Eva, and Mela to find you within in order to discuss matters of the arcane. They'd be the most knowledgeable of monsters, spells, and other things of a scholarly nature. One by one, they enter and sit, and you join them as well.

Vivi removes her cap and places it on the table in front of her. She runs her hand back through her snow-white hair and looks to you blankly. "So why are we here? You know, I was busy doing things."

"Doing what?" you ask.

"... None of your business!" She huffs. "Just go on."

"I feel so fancy here," Eva mutters.

Of course, Mela isn't exactly taking a seat, but she is floating above one of the chairs. "If I can do anything to help, please ask."

You clear your throat. "Well, I called you all because you're basically the magic council here, and there are so many unanswered questions. The Demon King might be slain, but now maybe we can solve some mysteries."

"I can write them down," Eva says. She picks up a quilled pen and dips it into a vial of ink.

"The first and probably largest one is about myself. Who brought me here, why did they implant me with this strange pseudo class, and where are they now? It seems that they probably wanted to create and control a being they could puppet as their own Demon King, but that's about as far as our knowledge goes. They have to be pretty powerful to drag someone over from another world, right?"

Mela tilts her head.

"Oh. Kyle is from another world," Eva explains.

"Why do you say that so casually?!"

You tap your chin. "We know there are various items from Earth, like manga, but by people's reactions, it's certainly not a common thing. William Cresswell is from Earth too, but I can never get a straight answer out of that guy."

"Mystery two! Who's spreading slander about you?" Eva adds.

"Suspicious how there's a new man on the throne as well," says Vivi. "And he already had a bounty on your head. We're both technically knights, but it's uncertain if we'd still be recognized by him. Perhaps I can go investigate sometime and see if I can find out more."

"That would be awesome," you respond.

"Hold on, please," Mela interrupts. She seems flustered. "You had a class forcibly placed upon you? Such a thing is impossible. It is the God of Adventurers that controls the flow of levels, experience, and the like. It is a natural ****, just like the energy from the sun, or what keeps us on our planet... but I suppose if it is something quantifiable, one might be able to manipulate it all the same. You have to let me investigate you!"

"Slow down there, girl." Vivi glances over. "As funny as it would be to watch Kyle get picked at by a ghost, you need to calm down. I doubt any of us have the tools to find out more than we already do with his body alone."

Eva continues to scribble. As she does, she mutters under her breath. "Who brought... Kyle... Weird new king... Framed..."

"Oh, and Alice. I remember being told a mad mage created some disastrous inventions, and we found her in his abandoned laboratory. He could be out there still. I feel like she'd want to know more about herself too. Everything about her is a mystery." You lean back. "Delphi too. She has a strange class just like me, and she said she was experimented on... Wait a minute. Delphi said she was kidnapped by an elven mage and a witch, and then we discovered that witch looked strikingly like you, Vivi."

"I remember that. She was really steamed," Vivi replies. "Like I said back then, it would make sense that it was my other sister. A bit older than me. Last I saw her, she was working with an elf, trying to make him powerful and infamous enough to be known as a Demon King, but I haven't heard of anything since."

"The girl in the lab coat. The one that experimented on me. You don't think..."

Vivi sits up in her seat. "You think my sister is the one behind your entire arrival?"

"An elven mage and a witch, experimenting on a pixie. I didn't see an elf. I hardly saw the girl. But if that's the case, Delphi and I might be in a similar boat. But if we haven't heard anything about it, then what's their plan? If your sister is helping an elf become powerful, then why create William and I? I feel like we run into a lot of problems with your sisters, Vivi."

"Don't look at me. My sisters suck. I'm the cute, charming one. The rest are freaks."

"I feel uncomfortable, like I'm just a pawn in a chess game. Something better not be going on right under our feet."

"How could it though?" Eva asks. "You resisted, back when you hit level ten. William I assume did too. If this elven mage and Vivi's sister created you both, then they surely made a mistake, since neither of you are allied with them."

"We don't know that for sure. William is an enigma," you reply. Then you let out a long sigh. "This is all kinda pointless to discuss further right now. We need to figure out things we can look into, and I doubt we'll find anything in books about the whereabouts of this duo of mad scientists, or altering classes. But maybe anything about other worlds? I feel like there must be something out there. Maybe we can track down Barkis, a chairman of the Circle, and the archmage that lives in that tower out in the wilderness south of here. He was the first to tell me more. He said I wasn't the first to come from Earth."

"I will do my best to help," Mela says.

"Yeah. Though I'd rather not deal with another sibling, I'm getting curious," Vivi mutters to herself. "Damn. Could it really be true?"
