Acceptance

As you walk to the front door, Sadie takes your hand and gives you a nervous smile. Despite all your assurances, she’s still extremely nervous to meet the rest of the girls. As you reach for the door handle, the door swings open, and as usual, Anna is there to greet you.

“Welcome home, master! And you must be the new girl. Please make yourself at home, miss...”

Sadie blinks, surprised at the sudden greeting. “My name is Sadie...”

Anna smiles, “Welcome to the family, Sadie. I must say, you’re a beautiful girl! My name is Anna, and I serve as master’s maid, and one of his lovers. If you need anything, just ask me, please. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go tell Elys and Lynn that you’re here.”

With that, she walks off into the house. Sadie turns to you. “She seems nice, but... ‘master’?”

You sigh, rubbing the bridge of your nose. “Yeah, Anna loves to act as a submissive servant, even before we got together as a family. The only time she’s ever called me by name was the day she told me she loves me. Don’t worry about it too much, Anna is just...Anna.”

Maya walks past you, giggling. “Can you believe that they were living in the same house for two years before I came along and got them together? I swear my Josh is clueless sometimes!”

Sadie giggles, “Sometimes guys just need a little push to get there.”

Maya grins, nodding. “See, you get it Sadie! I knew you would! I’m so glad you’re here, finally someone who thinks like me around the house.”

“Well, that sssoundsss like a dangerous combination.” Elys chuckles as she walks up to you, kissing your cheek before turning to Sadie. “Hello dear. I overheard Maya sssaying that your name isss Sssadie, correct?”

The djinn nods, eyes going wide. “Pardon me for being rude but...are you a gorgon? I’ve never met one before!”

Elys laughs, toying with the snakes in her hair. “Did the sssnake give it away? I am a gorgon, but alssso part sssiren asss well. My name is Elysss. You are a djinn, are you not? I hear that djinn are wonderful sssingersss!”

Sadie brightens at the mention of singing. “Oh, I love to sing! Do you sing as well? Yay! Maybe we can sing together or something!”

Elys chuckles again. “Ssso energetic. I like you already, Sssadie. You’ll fit in well with usss.”

As they talk excitedly, you feel a hand on your arm. Lynn is standing beside you, smiling. “Is t-this the new girl? My goodness, s-she’s so pretty! I love her blue hair!”

Sadie overhears the conversation and turns, eyes going wide when she spots Lynn “Ohmygosh! A goblin girl?! You’re so cuuute! Oh wow, what pretty eyes! Hi, I’m Sadie!”

Lynn blushes and looks away, “H-hi...I’m Lynn. Nice to m-meet you. You really think I’m c-cute?”

“Of course, you’re adorable! I love goblins, you’re all so amazing, and your eyes are beautiful! I wish I had pretty purple eyes like that! I’m just blue all over...”

“Y-you’re so pretty, Sadie...thank you for saying I’m cute. I think we will be friends, I’m just nervous around new people...eep!”

As Lynn is talking, Sadie has scooped her up into a big hug. Before long, they are laughing together and complimenting each other’s looks.

Smiling, you turn to a smug looking Maya. “As usual, you’re right, she fits in perfectly here.”

Maya grins and nods, “Of course I was right!”
