Rescue.

Max made her way back to try and help Tusha, she didn't know whether this women was friend or foe, only that she was in danger, a transgenic that was in danger, and for Max that was enough incentive. She crouched down low and moved toward the main factory where Nikoli was and peeked in through the window.

Nikoli circled Tusha like a vulture, screaming out random questions but Tusha remained silent. He slapped her around yelling at her, still she kept quiet. Then without warning, without Max having time to respond, Nikoli pulled out his revolver and pulled the trigger. The back of Tusha's head popped open bursting like a balloon in a spew of blood before she fell down dead.

Max held her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes, she failed.

Max quickly shook the guilt away, calling on her Manticore training, wallowing in pity were for "ordinary's". Max was a soldier she had to control her emotions, had to keep focused no matter what atrocities she saw, it was these base instincts that helped her survive all these years; being cold in a cold world.

Max's sorrow was replaced by anger. She picked up a discarded plank and headed inside the room.

"Haaargh" Nikoli held as he was bashed over the head, the piece of plank that hit him shattering o apart. He slumped onto the ground but caught himself with out stretched arms. He looked up blood trailing from the wound on the back of his head. Max stood over him with his revolver in her hand, a determined look on her face...

..."Hold it" came the voice from behind Max, followed by the distinct sound of a gun cocking.

"Put the gun down and turn, slowly."

Max followed the orders, throwing the gun to the ground, she then turned around, and as she did her eyes widened...

...'Zack" she said to herself, shocked.
