A family meeting

The meeting was uneventful for you, other than a warning from Trevor. “This needs to stay a secret. The more people who know about this, the bigger a target on your back, and more importantly, it puts targets on everyone who cares about you. As an aside, it seems that rumors about you are spreading amongst the new girls here at the arrival center.” Maya giggles, winking at you. “I guess that you’ll be very popular should you decide to add to your little family. I personally recommend waiting, but it’s up to you.”

You decided to head home after that, and after a quick meal, you called a family meeting.

“So, first of all, now you all know why those of us with powers feel stronger. I don’t think anyone will complain about that. We just need to stick together, and protect each other, not that we wouldn’t already.”

You look at Maya, who grins, knowing what you’re going to mention next. “As for the other topic, Maya pretty clearly wants to bring another girl into our group. I am not necessarily opposed to the idea, but also, I want this to be a family, not an army. Anyone have thoughts?”

Anna speaks up first, “I say the more the merrier, master. The house gets more lively and fun with every girl you bring home!”

Elys nods, “Maya hasss talked to me about thisss already. I’m keeping the sssurprissse, but I think the girl isss a good fit.”

Maya bounces excitedly in her chair. “My Josh deserves as many beautiful women as he can get! You’ll love her, I just know it!”

You look at Lynn, your newest addition, who looks back at you with adoration in her purple eyes. “I-I agree with them, darling...all the girls have fun together, and I w-would love more friends.”

“I guess that settles it, then. I’m honestly surprised that all of you agree. Just a hunch, but Maya has been talking about this for a while, hasn’t she?”

All the girls nod, and Maya grins. “What can I say, I met a girl after the first attack and decided that she was a good fit! I can’t wait for you to meet her, my Josh.”

“Well, we can go back and get her soon. For now though, I think I’ve earned a little rest. Movie night?”
