The Boss Fight

Yulia watches the skeleton warily as she listens to the voices, she's not sure what a Stalfos is, but given how little she knows about other worlds, she assumes The Mean Voice knows what it's talking about. She's not sure what being a... little person in a tunic has to do with fighting one, but she's not sure it's relevant anyway.

The skeleton, or Stalfos, She supposes seems to still be waiting patiently so she takes the time to address a few things before focusing on the fight.

"Why must so many of you be so mean to me? I'm trying my best," she says, "as for having sex... Well I don't currently have any specific plans in that area, but obviously if I was going to I'd... have to strip for that, but I am not going to remove clothes for no reason and I don't think 'it'll make the perverts watching me happy' is a good reason," she says and then fiddles with her mask again, "Also I don't think Alide meant repayment literally. She seemed to imply her services were free. If I do have to pay her though... I don't think sex for help surviving and saving my world is that bad a price..." she adds.

She then swallows, "Oh and um..." she looks a little awkward, "I'm not used to the mean voice actually complimenting me... So thanks. I guess I did handle myself pretty well against those tentacles," she says seemingly quite cheerful about finally receiving some praise, "D... Don't worry though! I won't let one victory get to my head though. I'm still going to give it my all!" she adds quickly.

With that out of the way she turns her attention back to the skeleton. The basic consensus seems to be that freezing it from range is a good idea, using the grenade is probably worth it and no matter what don't try to attack with the chair leg until it's absolutely safe. She stares at the skeleton trying to decide what to do first.

Unfortunately the skeleton seems to have realized the battle has started and seems to crouch slightly, it's jaw clicking menacingly for a few moments before it suddenly leaps into the air. Yulia barely has time to dive out of the way before it lands where she was standing and turns, slashing at her. Her dive luckily took her just out of range of the attack and she quickly gets back to her feet and tries to get some more range between her and it.

It doesn't seem like it intends to give her the option though as it quickly closes the distance with another leap and this time swings it's shield slamming it into her side and sending her to the floor with a pained grunt. It's eyes flicker as it looks down at her sprawled on the ground. It crouches again and then leaps into the air, sword raised. Yulia responds without thinking and fires an icicle at it, mid-air. The icicle hits it's chest and knocks it back. It clatters to the ground, but quickly starts to get back up. Yulia is breathing heavily as she chucks another icicle at it, this time managing to hit it's shield arm, it's arm freezes and it doesn't seem to be able to move it's shield now.

Regardless it quickly comes for her again. She grabs the grenade and tosses it at the skeleton as it approaches. The grenade impacts against it's pelvis and explodes sending shrapnel flying. The Skeleton's spine is severed and it's top half collapses to the ground as most of it's bottom half is reduced to dust. Yulia swallows and approaches the skeleton cautiously. It is having difficulty moving, unwilling to drop it's sword and unable to use it's other arm. It slashes at her with the sword as she nears, but even she can easily avoid its attack now. She moves behind it and begins to set on it with the chair leg, smashing its sword arm first to ensure it's no longer a danger and then caving in its skull to finally end it. It seems to be destroyed after that, but the gate remains down.

Yulia grasps her side where the shield hit her, her ribs are aching, but she's otherwise feeling alright, though a bit exhausted again. She approaches the gate. There's a lock on the gate. She stares at it for a few moments and then produces the key from the silver room and tries it on the gate. It fits and turning it makes the gate quickly retract into the ceiling, leaving the stairs to the next floor open.

Yulia breathes a sigh of relief. She'd done it. She'd conquered the first floor of the tower.

Feeling proud, but a little exhausted she starts to ascend to the next floor.

:Downtime:

While Yulia is ascending to the next floor no decision is required, but questions or comments can still be made to Yulia as she is making her ascent. This is essentially a break of sorts. The next floor and its trials and tribulations will resume on monday
