Introducing Lynn to the house

The trip home is more relaxed, most of the girls exhausted from the day. You arrive and head inside, Anna heading into the kitchen to make dinner, Maya and Elys heading to the bedroom, giggling about ‘celebrating’ today’s victory.

You sit down on the couch beside Lynn, who is looking around with wide eyes. “Is this whole place your house?”

“Yeah. I’m a very lucky man to have so much, including the girls.”

“So...are you all, you know, together?”

You laugh, “The simple answer is yes. The long answer...well, how much do you want to know?”

Lynn looks at you with big lavender eyes. “I’m just curious how this happened. T-tell you what, you explain it to me, and I’ll...explain my past, o-ok?”

You nod, “That’s fair. Anna was my housekeeper for a few years, and before that, a distant admirer in school. She’s...a little obsessed with me, but it’s harmless. She calls me ‘master’ which I’ll admit can be a little creepy, hell, the only time she’s ever called me by name is the day she told me she loves me.”

Lynn giggles, “I think that’s cute! She’s very devoted to you then.”

“She is! She’s the one who convinced me to sponsor a monster girl for the first time. That’s how I met Maya. Maya is just a bundle of energy and love, and a genuine delight to be around.”

You chuckle, “I suppose it doesn’t hurt that she’s also really into the idea of there being a lot of cute girls around too.”

Lynn smiles, nodding. You continue, “And Elys...she’s really more interested in girls, but we have had our moments. Mostly she’s interested in Maya, but she has no problem sharing or joining in. She’s more reserved, but also has a bit of a dominant streak.”

Leaning back, you smile happily. “It’s a weird little family, but we’re growing closer every day.”

Lynn looks at you with a nervous smile, “A-and where do I fit in? I feel like...like I sort of barged in on you...”

“Not at all. I want you to be happy and safe here. Why don’t you tell me about yourself, and then you can decide where you feel like you fit in.”

Lynn nods, taking a deep breath. “W-well, in the old world, goblins are generally an underclass, we tend to be subservient to mages. We tend to get used as spell batteries more than anything. My family raised me understanding our lot in life, but I was always taught to seek out a mage that treated me well.”

Her purple eyes grow vacant, as if reliving her past. “Shortly after I became an adult, I was taken by a mage studying the portals. He was a decent person, but I was mostly just a tool to him. After a few years, he overreached in his experiments, and caught the attention of some bad people. His research was taken and he was killed.”

Lynn closes her eyes, shivering. “Someone eventually discovered that I had become attuned to the portals, and sent me through to where you found me. They told me that I was going to be used to break the portal restrictions. They said that I should be honored.”

She looks into your eyes, and a tear rolls down her cheek. “I-I don’t want to be a sacrifice. I just w-want to be happy...”

Gently, you pull the little goblin into a hug, and she burys her face in her shirt. “It’s ok, Lynn, you’re safe here. You’re with friends now.”

Lynn looks up at you, eyes hopeful. “D-do you really mean that? I can stay here, be a part of your...family?”

“If that’s what you want, yes. I won’t **** you to do anything you don’t want, I promise.”

The little goblin dives into your arms, crying happy tears this time, repeating one thing over and over.
