Return?
Return for the last one
With a flick of your wrist you reappear below in the central room on the second floor. Next to you, Kerritan thumps down hard on the floor, released from your control. She doesn't even try to lift herself. Her shell-shocked stare reaches across the room, not even seeing her fellow walkers. You give her a rough shove across the floor with your foot.
Pleasantly, no one leaps at you. Marait merely watches you with angry eyes. She seems to have recovered somewhat from her earlier ordeal, but her arms hang limply at her sides. Litessa stares at you, her large eyes wary. Ura, still damp, comes forward to tend to Kerritan, pointedly ignoring you. You casually allow her to do so, knowing that no amount of coddling will undo the evening's work, before gesturing and throwing her back against the wall.
It is now full dark, and you choose the Water-Walker to finish your day's diversions. You gesture and she gives a quiet shriek and presses herself against the wall. Her terror seems to stir Kerritan for a moment, but fails to pull her out of her trance. You curl your fingers in compulsion and Litessa pulls reluctantly away from the wall and walks to stand before you, shivering and staring at you in terror. You grip her throat with your hand and you both disappear.
You take the two of you to another room of the tower. It is large, probably taking up the entire floor of the tower. It is windowless, lit only by flickering torches which burst into flame as they appear in the room. The room is furnished with numerous columns, benches, and alcoves. The ceiling is shadowed, but dim outlines suggest various things hang there. You release her throat as she stands gasping and turn in a circle. "I built my tower here to enjoy the best aspects of all this land had to offer. You and your companions probably chose it for much the same reasons. A pity you couldn't truly enjoy the full effect without being able to teleport throughout it. We're on the sixth level; the third, naturally, is the cliffs, the fourth water, and the fifth forest. I thought you'd find this level the most... intense. You're a daughter of the open sea, free and spacious. The stone, the fires, the darkness... this room is especially frightening, is it not? But I apologize for my rudeness; I have only talked, never listening. You are Litessa, are you not?"
