A Note?

Texas cautiously peered around a rock, spotting the mining camp up ahead, but her spirits fell as she saw that it was completely empty, not a soul to be seen. Straightening up and cursing herself, the weasel strode forwards into the camp, seeing that the firepit was cold and the buildings were abandoned. However, just as she was about to leave, a light breeze caused something to flutter at the edge of her vision. Turning quickly, her hand moving to the gun on her hip, Texas whipped around, only to see a note pinned to the wall of the gorge with a boot knife, quite similar to the ones she and April used. The weasel instantly dashed over to the note and tore it free, wiping the red stone dust off it as her brow furrowed, reading over the note.

"What do you get... when you cross a weasel... with a boulder...?" Texas frowned in confusion, turning the paper over to see if there was anything on the other side, only to find that it was blank. "Well what the heck does that me-"

The boulder smashed down right on top of her head, flattening her from sheriff to doormat in seconds and embedding itself deep in the ground. Next to the boulder, the note fluttered to the ground next to Texas's hand, the only part of her sticking out from under the boulder, which twitched in pain and humiliation. Up above, perched high on a ledge worn into the gorge's walls, Smiling Jacks and two of her crew chuckled to each other.

"I dunno, Tex. But I guess we're about to find out!" The bunny said with her characteristic cheerfulness, then began to climb down the rock, eager to get a look at the squashed sheriff.
