The enemy had no chance of catching them anymore. The Nightsong and Wolfhound had already jumped away.
"So what's our status?" Katla had requested a small meeting of her, Astrid, Kane, and Foxley.
"Enemy destroyer seized with fifteen hands on board. Interrogation reports that they unloaded twenty-three crew into the station before action." Foxley reported.
"The station?" Katla asked the other two, Astrid indicating for Kane to go first.
"We left with full stores. There was still a bit left in cargo bay 3 but we cleared out 1 and 2 completely." Kane said, "Everyone's bank accounts will thank you for this if the current market price stays steady."
"Casualties?" Katla asked Astrid.
"Enemy casualties were around thirty total with thirteen recovered by us. We lost twenty-nine total with twelve being recovered by the enemy." Astrid reported.
The would be Saga's nine person squad, the two from the rescue mission and... Wait. "Not thirteen?" Katla asked
"Hm? Oh one of those MIA just turned her helmet off by accident. She thought she'd gone blind. Another team found her before anything happened." Astrid rolled her eyes at that. That girl was going to have to deal with some ribbing for a while.
"It could have been a lot worse. As it is we've won. They can try to spin it however they like but that destroyer alone would have been worth this mission. Good work everyone." As they all departed Katla was left with her own counsel. She had a few choices to make.
