A ship of slaves fleeing Nean

A small vessel darts nimbly through the dense asteroid belt between Nean and Glace, performing daring spins and complicated maneuvers to make sure there's always a rock or two between it and the swarm of missiles being replenished constantly by the four pursuing ships.

Inside, a crew of three Glacians scramble from one complaining system to the next, doing their best to prevent their stolen ship from tearing itself apart long enough for their Darsite pilot to shake off their pursuers.

Zeska Shadenix

The oldest is Zeska Shadenix, a pure Glacian of 40-some years. She is even-tempered but stern, a long-term planner with a head for organization. After ten years of slavery on Nean, she saw a chance at freedom in a poorly guarded transport ship and took it, along with two other slaves.

Ember Shadenix

The first was Ember, a teen Zeska had been assigned to teach the various duties of a **** on Nean. With no memories of her own parents, Ember quickly latched on to Zeska as an ersatz-mother, even taking on her family name of Shadenix. Ember Shadenix is a mixed-heritage woman with light caramel skin, purple lips not quite as dark as a Darsite's, brown eyes, and dark blue hair with orange streaks. Her eyes are usually circled in crimson eyeliner, paired with a smokey eyeshadow.

Ember's knack for technology was instrumental in their escape. The ship itself was still powered up, but it wouldn't have gone very far if Ember hadn't figured out how to break the electronic locks of the docking clamps holding it in place. Her ability to manipulate digital systems have only improved since then, but more on that later.

Sparrow Jones

The second **** Zeska took with her on her escape was Sparrow, a 15 year old Human/Glacian boy who happened to be in the right place at the right time. He was being transported to a **** auction on Nean, and was the last to be taken off the transport ship when it was stolen. Initially very timid and withdrawn, he has come out of his shell over the years. He is still soft-spoken, but he is kind and empathetic as well as a good negotiator, as long as he has someone encouraging him to be more forceful instead of giving in to the other side's demands as is his natural tendency.

Vollova Bolestaff

Finally, there's the pilot. While Zeska did her best to fill this role during her escape, she is hardly a skilled pilot and they would have been recaptured years ago if not for Vollova. Unlike everyone else on the ship, this Darsite woman has never been a ****. She was hired as a copilot and mechanic on an alien ship that operated in this sector of space. When her captain decided that the bounty from catching escaped slaves would be a good way to increase his income, she disagreed. And by 'disagreed' I mean she sabotaged the engines, put on a vacuum-suit, and jumped out the airlock.

Some would call her daring, others might consider her reckless. Luckily things worked out as the former slaves scooped her up before making themselves scarce.

Just to be clear, this story takes place several years after the initial escape, and decades after first contact with Humanity. Everyone on board is an adult. Possible plots include:

Vanilla Romance: A traditional romance in space. Could involve a love triangle and various drama, but the ultimate pairings will be monogamous. [mf, romance branch]

Boytoy: All three ladies are eager to jump the only male on board, and are willing to share him with each other. [mf, fm, harem, group sex branch]

Wingwomen: The ladies prefer to get their rocks off with each other or strangers they meet during their travels. Since Sparrow is too shy to flirt on his own, they make it their mission to get him laid as well. [ff, fm, barhopping branch]

Stud for Hire: Male Glacians, even half-Glacian, are a valuable commodity. And there's always a need for repairs and resupplies. When our runaways don't have the money for it, it's up to Sparrow to pay their dues in another way. [fm, mm, stud, breeding branch]
